I admire your ability to see past the huge age difference, and not being bothered about it. The fact that just 5 years ago, she would be 14, and he would be a certified 56 year old pedophile. 
Then again, Americans have a more open mind when it comes to stuff like this so its no surprise really. Consent is not the issue her. And Id bet you`d feel real comfortable with men old enough to be your father, banging your teeanage daughter (if you ever had one). Im sure you`d be perfectly fine with that, consent or not...

And for chrissakes get it right! A pedophile is one who is attracted to PREpubescent children. Fourteen is not prepubescent. Huge difference between a 14 having sex and a 9 year old. Those five years matter. And you diminish the real sickness that is pedophilia by making such a moral equivalence.
And consent is EVERYTHING. Without consent it's rape. Two consenting adults doing whatever is nobody's business as long as it doesn't infringe on the rights of others.
And again you make a nonsensical argument about a hypothetical daughter. Hell, I wouldn't want my daughter working at Hooters or wearing a nose ring. I wouldn't want her to even date. What I want for my daughter has no bearing regarding what other girls or women do.
And, yes, I am an American. A proud American. A free and open society where we do tolerate others as long as it doesn't effect our freedoms or rights. I've long accepted that this world wasn't created just so that I feel comfortable.
