None of the guys I know reported flushing  of the face. I don't know where these guys were un their prep but as a rule you always get off it before shows/photoshoots. It causes water retention as well as poor glycogen loading. Just a very drained and flat look. I would advice someone to do it at the start of prep to get rid of a lot of fat initially.

That could be overtanning and/or Melanotan just speculation.
