It was quite entertaining. Jake is great in the fight scenes. McGregor has a permanent grin that needs to be surgically removed. He looked to me like a Leprechaun.

my test base is and always will be 250 and now i'm on 80 mgs var in a big cal defiect

once i'm back to eating maintainace i'll probalby go to 30 mgs var

Your loss. My wife said it was funny and she wants to watch it again. The new version is darker than the original. I think it was a good move not to try and just copy the original. The fast food restaurant next to the book store was named "Double Deuce". I caught that right away. 

I still prefer the original. It had a lot more interesting characters. Brad Wesley was hilarious!

Swayze nailed his role! Loved him in Road House.

Gyllenhaal's version is different for sure. He has more muscle and his fight scenes are great. Just a different interpretation. Apples and Oranges.

Pretty good, but I wish McGregor didn't do that stupid ILS swagger (and boy does he have a gigantic noggin!!)


Edit: finished - enjoyed it - no spoilers but enjoyed the final fight - rewound it a few times!

Agreed on original being better .
Between training for Southpaw and Roadhouse I believe dude can put up a fight .

one thing : what the hell is that last scene about ? starts playing a trash cover of “enter sandman” you think conner is about to skull fuck Jacob but then he kills him like a vampire , enter sandman just abruptly stops and all his problems are solved ?

plus i was waiting for a reintroduction of the phrase “I used to fuck guys like you in prison” - big let down there

You obviously didn't watch through the credits.

ZERO character development throughout the whole movie.   The bar owner was more of a back ground character than the book store girl.  There's a fucking murder in a bar, mystery boat crash, truck crash, etc. and then you have people coming up and asking "are you open".   Seriously???

I wanted to rip my own throat out after watching this steaming pile of shit.  Can't wait for the Pitch Meeting or Honest Trailer guys to roast this.

Jake was brilliant. Connor played a violent asshole, no acting was required. I liked him in it. Good movie.

It's a fun fight movie, not Lord Of The Rings, sir.

Reminds me of a review for the comedy spy movie Argylle - dude was complaining that it wasnt on par with a James Bond movie.
