He did indeed Bench, Capes was a strong dude no doubt - I think the term "cock" strong applies to him. He didnt look like he was strong, actually he was built like a turd but he was a powerful dude none the less

My gym owner was bill richarsons trianer and owned a fantastic gym in leeds and belfast. apparantly his one in leeds put reg park out of business.

neway capes apparantly has a terrible habit of calling everyone boy. and was a huge bully. always bulling everyon in the gym out of gym in everyday life puffing his chest out trying to intimidate anyone and everyone etc. my gym owner told me this story

victor traoined him. vic traioned him from age 14 in his gym in leeds to win junior britain mr britain mr world and universe.

geoff was v powerful. irongame.com had great clips of him. look ed very  thin in comparison and was a top level shot putter
