how much do you think i weighed in this pciture ? i was a little over 5'10 (maybe 5'10''2/5''')... my chesty is sucky in it and my back is wide but not thick... my bf was probably like 14-15%..

How clearly can you see your abs?
anywhere from 180-200pds depending on how much fat you are carrying..
You look to have decent delts.

i think my arms and delts look great and my legs look like they have good shape too.. i think i like that look just i wanna be more proportional (better chest, more sweep on my quads, thickness to my back, better calves).... and of course i wanna keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger but i l;ike that shape.. especially the arms.. i am recently going back to my old style of arm training (how i trained back then in this picture).. which is just like milos .... very short rest periods (liek none at all)..getting as pumped as ai can till it hurts...lots of drop sets and super sets... my arms 9which were just all bulk)..are gettting that kind of shape again..

Ive started doing the hardly any rest between sets also..you are right it does start to change the shape of your arms,look more full,defined and pumped..
I am trying it with all body parts , damm it nails the cardio system on chest,back and legs.
You have good legs there to..were you full squating at that time?

ive never done squats, since i started ive only ever done leg press hack squats and leg extensions. my bio mechanics just arent set up for squatting, and actually i get the best results from heavy leg press and drop sets on leg extension.

I agree. The don't have to be heavy either. Do 20 deep reps with 145 for maybe 5 sets to try it out. You will be dead.

my biomechanics really just dont allow me to do them. i could do 145 though, ill try that out windsor, but if i try anything over 225, its impossible... you guys would be dying in laughter if you saw me try to squat. but light weights i can do... it just dont feel like im doing nothing... my legs are strong.. i do real good form a leg press and go super deep (as far as i can o ) and i dont use my stomach to bounce off either.. and ill easily do 10 plates a side for sets of 15

Good way to train, your muscles dont know how much there lifting, just how hard there working :)

Yea tall guys werent really meant to squat. I think thats why most tall bodybuilders have shitty legs, because their biomechanics dont allow them to squat therefore shitty legs !!! :(

well i am not sure ho much i weighed, thats why im asking ! but id guess about 180... i remember myself being around that weight at that time..cuz i always told people i losty 80 lbs if they asked and i know i was at 260 when i first dieted down

Yea tall guys werent really meant to squat. I think thats why most tall bodybuilders have shitty legs, because their biomechanics dont allow them to squat therefore shitty legs !!! :(
I'm 6'2" and I squat every week. Have to get your form down before going heavy. No excuses. I know a guy that has both knees replaced, he still squats.

ive had people try to teach me how to squat... the problem is i alreayd know how.. i watch videos and watch people all the time... but when i do it by back is forced down in front of me and i end up dooing goodmornings with just a touch of legs... i can do squats if i do a sumo stancewith my feet pointing out to the sides..

Well if its that big of a deal and u really want to squat bad.
Try front squatting, you cant have bad form with those or you'll lose the bar. The bar placement forces u to stay upright, so give those a try and then u cant complain :)

Free weight barbell front squatting! No smith machine! thats only for old fat guys, or milos during a 34 exercise giant set ;D!! Your too young to be using that kiddo ;)

yeah man but he's SO TALL at 5'10" i mean that's just gargantuan, shit that's 2 inches less than 6 feet!!!! that's one TALL dude. ::)

if it was a natural movement for mee then id be hitting it every leg day.. i tried for about a year to squat every leg deay and everytime it left me frustrated and with a sore back..

Front Squat! start super light, just getting form down, dont try to break any records and do the movement correctly, then once u have it down u cant start adding weight and since ur form will be perfect you wont ever get injured!
Now go stop posting, and start front squatting!!! :)
Oh yea, and there is a reason, u never see guys at the gym front squatting............... Because its hard!!!!! So when u feel those quads burning, and have the biggest pump you've ever had in ur thighs, u cant thank ol' flexington and quaker oats for giving u the cahones to give them a shot ;D

::) everybodies back gets sore from squats, as long as your legs get sore as well you're fine, honestly this bullshit of "i'm not suited for them" when you're only average height at best is just excuse making, it's not like you're 6'10".

Candizzle, I squat every week WITHOUT FAIL and I'm exactly the same height as you. There's no excuses.

im not making excuses lol and flex was the one who attributed my inability to squat correctly to my height not me.. i think its just the way my legs and torso work together...

Focus on a spot on the wall slighly above eye level,stay tight throughout(whole body),descend slowly,and explode outta` the hole...........get re-set and go again.
Most likely either weak lower back,bad form,weights too heavy (ego lifting),or just freakin` lazy!! :)

b/w fronts, leg presses, and hacks i'd pick at least 2 of the 3 every workout and maybe even throw some deadlifts in there if you don't do them on back day

Taylor,start out really light and do 5 sets of 10.........add 10 pounds weekly just for starters and to find the groove.

I used to be the same way, hardly ever squatted, always with an excuse. Did the leg press/extension thing, blah, blah, blah......when you get to that point were you are doing 1200+lbs on leg press and you can't squat 315 for reps, it's embarrassing. Now I hardly legpress at all and focus on squatting. What I did is similar to what wes suggested but i look up to the ceiling if I can, remember, your body will follow your head, if you keep it up, your body will follow suit.
PS, this thread is dangerously close to going to the G&O, smartasses. :)

a tall fat bouncer from a club around here trained at my gym and he was doing squats.
he was 7'3 :o biggest man I have ever seen in my life, didn't really have much of a physique but he looked scary.

did squats today and my sweep was fuckin PUMPED... after quads i do hammies and i was doing seated hamstring curls and theres a mirror right in front of me and i was checkin out my quadds in the mirror while i was restign between sets and my sweep on the outside was pumped up about 2-3 inches off of my femur bone... crazy..absolutely crazy..i didnt even know my quads would go out that far like that..

I've only done heavy squats, it worked fine for me.
I did legs today too and it was a pain in the ass squatting heavy because I just didn't feel like it
so I did like 10 sets of leg extensions with 30 second breaks, that' shit burns. >:(

i always start and finish my workouts with a isolatyioon mobvement... for legs always start and finish with leg extension..
