I bought an original Tensolator. Paid too much, but Bruce Lee had one, so I just had to have one too. It came with the original instruction booklet, beat up copy, but original. It's amazing how well the originals were made, compared to the newer knock offs. About 50 years old and still works just fine!

Funk, picked these (4 globes) up this AM, need to find room in the garage gym now...

wow where are you finding this stuff, amazing.
-
Those old globes are impressive....and rare. They shot loaded or solid? Any company stamp on them? Those globes have to have a history behind them......no doubt.
Any one want a whole different approach to lifting, try a long bar globe workout. A true dead weight, no give or flexibility at all. DB's the same. Even the grip feels different.
-
Funk, a local guy on Craigslist sold me those. He was around 75 years old (just a guess), he got them from his Dad ages ago.
jpm101, no markings on those. I'm told by Muscle Museum historian Mike BonDurant, that bells with the 8" handle are indeed pretty rare.
They are solid as well.
-
Love when people find old workout stuff like that. Like finding a 50's muscle car, covered, on blocks and sort of cherry, in some old farmers back barn. It happens, just have to be lucky.
Wonder if those globes were made in Europe, no markings and such. Anyway, congrats on your find.
(Just to note; most anyone can clean & press a revolving 135lb basic Olympic bar. Try that on a dead globe weight bar that weighs 135lb, may take a couple of tries.)

it's not vintage but it is unusual.

What does that stupid slogan mean?! If they said we put the rib-it in fit then I could see. That slogan doesn't connect the product to the slogan in any way. Dumb.

I guess "It's" the only fitness device you'll ever need, couple that with $700.00 a month duck jizz, and watch out for the severe anabolism. ;D ::) ???

Ouch, that hurts even to look at. Strain, tear, hernia or whatever. Probably useless as good exercise, too.

^ I thought it was a failed product from the past, but it hasn't yet been released...

;D I'd love to see ads like this, now. Your laughable "puny weakness" is attracting "pitiable glances" and you are a worthless excuse for a man.
Then he (Weider) goes on to take credit for all the best physiques. ::)
-
Most amazing thing...$31.98. Were things ever that cheap...I guess, Weider said so. Wonder how much shipping was back than...any year given?
-
;D ;D ;D
this ad has a confession in it.
weider says 'pick the body you want!!!' the only part left out was 'and photoshop your head on it like I did!!!'

Freight Collect, so I'm sure there were many shocked and unhappy people involved.
