The movie was entertaining but lacked the mythology and magic the original Star Wars had. I wouldn't stop to watch this again or even think about it. Kind of forgettable.
The film was rushed. They tried to pack way too many explosions in 2 hours. The start felt like a scene from terminator. The movie needed more of a story and less things blowing up.

Seems like a movie that is trying to appeal to different generations and fails at multiple levels.

The droid is cool. The brew is not bad.
The chick is, supposed to be better then Luke with no training at all? She doesn't even know what the force is, nobody explains it to her, yet she can do things luke couldn't do until Ep 4 or 5 like pull the light sabre, read Kylo RENs mind and defeat him in a light sabre battle?

Han Solo acted like he didn't want to be there. Luke and Leia...please.

If this Ren is Luke's daughter....

Some epic bullshit hype. They made a big deal of the giant blonde chick being in this movie. She ended up just being a voice for the chrome storm trooper which made no sense why she was the only female storm trooper and the leader of them. Then the black chick from the comedy 12 years a slave who was just a cartoon Asian lady that looked like a dried fig. Then Andy Serkis who just sat in a chair and looked like a bad cartoon. Pretty lame shit.
Let me figure out this one thing. The entire new star destroyer's shield was taken down by a little module the chick pulls out. Umm okay.

I saw it and was disappointed.

Way too many battle scenes. Tons of corny scenes like where the first order is preparing to blast the republic and the scene mimicks mocks Hitler talking to his troops.

Total words spoken was incredible low for the movie length.

Was desolate a gimmick that Disney hired to go to thousands of sites and post about the new movie? he seemed to have a lot of info about this. I wouldn't be shocked. you can hire firms in India now to make thousands of posts a day across all sorts of social media sites.
