Im sure alot of you already know about the pacific rim labs bust. some of you may know a guy who goes by krazy K on some open source boards anyway he was PRL's remailer and got busted dealing locally-
The Marshfield man arrested in what Police Chief Joe Stroik says is the largest drug bust in Wood County is now charged.
Police found the drugs at the home of 20-year-old Kyle Bredl on Thursday.
He appeared in court today and is charged with delivery of controlled substances and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
The judge authorized he be held on a $5000 signature bond.
Bredly is scheduled to make his inital court appearance on January 23.
Between October 2006 and January 11, 2007, authorites say he sold steroids to an undercover officer in Stevens Point three times and once in Marshfield. They say about $10,000 worth of steroids were bought, $6000 of which occurred on January 11.
After his arrest, a box of steroids ready to be shipped outside Wisconsin was found in his vehicle.
His residence at 909 Western Street in Marshfield was then searched. Police there say they found a variety of steroids in liquid, powder and capsule form. They originally estimated the street value of those steroids to be at least $120,000. However, after identifying further bulk substances, they now believe the value may be $250,000.
Packaging and processing materials were also found.
The investigation has been linked to countries including Canada and China, as well as other states.
"He was getting it from quite a distance," says Stoik. "He certainly could have been selling it to anywhere in the United States or further."
Authorities say three search warrants were executed in Missoula, Montana over the weekend. One man was arrested on steroid-related charges.
Some of the anabolic steroids discovered include Methandrostenolone, Stanozolol and Oxymetholone. All three are considered Schedule III drugs and fall under control of the Wisconsin Uniform Controlled Substances Act.

Missoula man accused of coordinating steroid ring

MISSOULA, Mont. - A Missoula man has been charged with running a steroid smuggling ring.
**** *** ****, was arrested Sunday after police allegedly found pills, white powder, syringes, glassware, vials and packing material at his home. He has been released on bond pending further court appearances.
Police in Marshfield, Wis., traced the drugs to a Missoula post office box after arresting a 20-year-old Marshfield man who sold steroids to an undercover officer. Their six-month investigation turned up nearly $140,000 worth of anabolic steroids.
All the steroids seized are considered controlled substances that can be obtained only by prescription.
Court documents allege that **** received shipments of anabolic steroid powder from China, then mixed the drugs at his home and shipped the orders to drug dealers across the United States.
Narcotics officers uncovered steroid orders in *****' e-mail containing shipping and payment instructions, court documents said.
The investigation is ongoing, and at least one other person may still be charged, authorities said.
The investigation is being conducted by the Missoula Police Department, the Missoula County Sheriff's Department and the federal Drug Enforcement Agency, all members of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force.

well the next step up the chain will only lead to a raw powder manufacturer/distributor somewhere in the hills of thailand or china; the kid will go through some drug intervention program... get a shit ton of probation and communtiy service, and be a "natural" bodybuilder for at least 10 years. You may even be able to catch a speech from him at some highschool auditorium someday in the near future about the dangers of steroids.

A few notes on the busts:
I know one of the Dr's taken personally because she's my doctor. I won't mention her name even though it's in the papers, but they did write a paragraph on her saying she was the only doctor talked to that is licensed to specialize in health and rejuvination, and most likely will not face any further punishment. She writes you an RX to get full blood work in your local hospital, sent directly to her, to gauge what she can approve. However, the Signature Pharmacy is where my medications come from so I do wonder how her center (a large one) stays open without their pharmacy functioning.
2... there were 3 "Distributors" in Sugar Land, Texas arrested. I again don't want to mention names on the board, but I know one of the more popular distributors recommended by people on boards is located there. I'm hoping he wan't one of them
3... This is just going to be the start I'm sure. I've been told and heard it on the TV that patients of these Dr's are in the clear, since they took prescribed medications that were for them. But it also does put people's name in the open in terms of the government knowing your taking stuff. I wonder if any of that will ever come into play somehow.

Prosecutor: Athletes received illegal steroids in online ring

February 28, 2007
ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) -- Athletes were involved as customers of an illicit steroid distribution network that led authorities to raid two facilities and arrest four company officials, a New York prosecutor said.
Albany County District Attorney P. David Soares refused to name any steroid recipients, saying prosecutors were focused on producers and distributors.
"I understand that the involvement of athletes and celebrities makes this a sexy story, but I assure you we are not, at this point, we are not concerned with the celebrity factor," Soares said. "Our focus here is to shut down distribution channels."
Soares was in Florida on Tuesday for raids conducted by federal and state agents at two Signature Pharmacy stores. Four company officials, including a married couple who are both pharmacists, were arrested. They were charged with criminal diversion of prescription medications and prescriptions, criminal sale of a controlled substance and insurance fraud.
Soares refused to answer most questions about the case, which involves sealed indictments.
"I cannot elaborate any more and I cannot provide you with any more details without compromising an investigation which even at this point is at a very sensitive stage," he said.
The Times Union of Albany, N.Y., first disclosed the steroid investigation in a report citing unidentified sources. The newspaper said investigators found evidence that testosterone and other performance-enhancing drugs may have been fraudulently prescribed over the Internet to current and former Major League Baseball and NFL players, college athletes, high school coaches, a former Mr. Olympia champion and another top contender in the bodybuilding competition.
Customers include Angels outfielder Gary Matthews Jr., according to the Times Union, which cited unidentified sources with knowledge of the investigation.
Angels spokesman Tim Mead told The Associated Press the team was aware of the story, adding, "That's the only information we have."
Mead said manager Mike Scioscia told Matthews about it, and that general manager Bill Stoneman and Mead spoke to Matthews. An attempt by the AP to reach Matthews by phone Tuesday night was unsuccessful.
"We strongly recommended that Gary inform his agent and make sure he's aware as well," Mead said. "The information is sketchy at best."
The paper said a New York investigator flew to Pittsburgh last month to interview a physician for the Pittsburgh Steelers about why he allegedly used a personal credit card to purchase roughly $150,000 in testosterone and human growth hormone in 2006.
The physician, Richard A. Rydze, told the investigator the drugs were for his private patients, the paper said, citing an unidentified person briefed on the interview.
There are no allegations Rydze violated any laws.
Steelers spokesman Dave Lockett told the AP that Rydze works for the club mostly on game days. He is listed among the seven doctors under the "medical staff" designation on the official team employment roster.
"We can't comment any further because we are still gathering information," Lockett said.
A message was left seeking comment from Rydze.
Arrested on Tuesday were Stan and Naomi Loomis, who own the Signature Pharmacy in downtown Orlando, Stan's brother Mike Loomis and Kirk Calvert, Signature's marketing director. Soares' office identified Signature as a "producer" of the illegally distributed drugs.
Also arrested as a result of the New York investigation were three people Soares' office described as "distributors" from a Sugarland, Texas, company called Cellular Nucleonic Advantage.
Before the investigation is complete, Soares' office said, up to 24 people could face charges, including six doctors and three pharmacists.
The Loomis' downtown pharmacy contains a small retail store that sells bodybuilding supplements, a drug laboratory and executive offices.
Investigators loaded boxes into a truck and seized drugs, including anabolic steroids and human growth hormone, said Carl Metzger, narcotics commander for Orlando's Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation.
"I can't tell you what percentage of their business was legal and how much involved stacking steroids, but there was a mix," Metzger said.
Metzger said the search revealed a "raid card" at numerous Signature Pharmacy employees' desks with contact information for lawyers. The top of the documents identified it as a Food and Drug Administration/Drug Enforcement Agency telephone list, but only lawyers were on the card, Metzger said.
"We found that to be somewhat interesting," Metzger said. "Why would you need to have something entitled a phone call list for the DEA and FDA with lawyers' names if you have nothing to hide?"
Soares' office alleges that Signature filled prescriptions, in some cases from unlicensed doctors, knowing they had not met patients. The office said at least $250,000 in illegal and controlled substances were sold directly into Albany County, and New York state sales exceeded $10 million.
Soares said his investigation began after an Albany doctor was arrested for allegedly trafficking in narcotics online.

Rocker says he didn't have HGH prescription

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) -- Former major league relief pitcher John Rocker told ESPN Radio on Wednesday he never bought human growth hormone with a prescription.
On Tuesday, SI.com reported Rocker showed up on a client list of Applied Pharmacy, a Mobile, Ala., company raided in connection with a nationwide investigation into the illegal sale of steroids.
"I never had a prescription for any HGH," Rocker told ESPN Radio's "The Herd." "If somebody's got a beef to make with me, show me a prescription."
SI.com reported Rocker received two prescriptions for somatropin, a form of HGH, between April and July 2003.
"I was trying to pitch all the way up until a week before I had my surgery. And obviously feeling as bad as I was, I called every doctor I could (to find out) what can I do to strengthen my shoulder and give me more arm strength,' Rocker told ESPN Radio. "Every one of them said go to a GNC, buy something over the counter, human growth hormone, these very several amino acids ... basically (that) is the way it's done."
Rocker's publicist told the Daily News the pitcher admitted taking HGH, now banned by Major League Baseball, for medical reasons.
"That was a growth hormone that was prescribed by a doctor in relation to his rotator cuff surgery in 2003, so I don't really think there is anything to the story," publicist Debi Curzio said in Wednesday's editions.
SI.com also reported that major leaguer David Bell, 1996 Olympic wrestling gold-medalist Kurt Angle, and Victor Martinez, winner of the latest Ohio bodybuilding competition named for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, were Applied Pharmacy clients.
Bell told SI.com he received the shipment of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) last April but said the drug was prescribed "for a medical condition," which he declined to disclose.
As additional athletes were linked to the scandal, two more people were arraigned Tuesday on drug-related charges.
Steven and Karen Lampert of Anti-Aging Centers in Nanuet pleaded not guilty in an Albany County, N.Y., courtroom and were released without bail. They are charged with submitting prescriptions to a Florida pharmacy -- some "obviously forged" according to the district attorney -- for drugs totaling more than $50,000 for people without a medical need.
Steven Lampert is charged with 20 counts, his wife with two.
"It seems as though our clients have much less involvement than the others," said Jay Golland, a lawyer for Karen Lampert.
Prosecutors describe the Lamperts as "criminal associates" of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando, Fla. Albany County District Attorney David Soares says Signature was at the center of a web of businesses and doctors that illegally wrote prescriptions for steroids.
The arraignments come a day after not guilty pleas were entered in Albany by 11 other defendants, including four Signature Pharmacy officials.
Soares acknowledged that Martinez was an "unindicted co-conspirator" in the case and is linked to the Lamperts' Anti-Aging Centers. Martinez won the Arnold Classic bodybuilding competition Saturday in Ohio.
A spokesman for Schwarzenegger said he wants bodybuilders to stop using steroids.
"He's clearly opposed to these steroids," said Aaron McLear. "And he's working with top officials in the bodybuilding community to come up with a system where they rid the sport of steroids."
Martinez told The New York Times he bought testosterone from the Lamperts after their clinic told him he had low levels of the hormone. He also said the company asked him to become a partner, but he declined.
"I didn't trust them, and other people were warning me not to do business with them," he told the Times.
Calls placed by The Associated Press to Jim Lorimer, a bodybuilding promoter and co-creator of the Arnold Classic, were not immediately returned.

FYI Don't know if you guys over there heard but just in the last couple of weeks here in Canada there has been huge recalls on Toothpaste marked as "CREST" (it has writing in English but not in french ,the way to tell its legit here), but anyways it too contained antifreeze. And yes it too was imported from China

I've seen Arnold address the topic 2 very differant ways...depends on the crowd. I was fortunate enough to hear him speak to a group of about 100 people 2yrs ago...a bodybuilding enthusiast crowd...his approach and opinions on the matter where very differant then what you hear when he's waring his govenator hat. More along the lines of what you'd want him to say.
He didn't come out and say, "steroids are good...they should be legal" etc. But he's not an idiot and he knows what's what.
To say the least, I was glad he had not taken the anti AAS thing to heart IMO.

Stealth Labs putting mislabeled gear in their sachets? OH THE TRAVESTY!
The Pennsylvania State Police, Bureau of Forensic Services, Harrisburg Regional Laboratory recently received a small package of purported aromatherapy oil, suspected to contain a mixture of anabolic steroids (see Photo 2). The package was seized at the residence of a known steroid abuser in Hummelstown (a small town between Harrisburg and Hershey), pursuant to a consent search by the Hummelstown Borough Police. The suspect in the case admitted to steroid abuse and indicated that the package actually contained “Sustanon” (which is a steroid cocktail containing the following testosterone esters: Propionate 30 milligrams, phenylpropionate 60 milligrams, isocaproate 60 milligrams, and decanoate 100 milligrams). The package markings included the website “821.in,” and indicated that the contents were Indian Aromatherapy Oils. The oil fluoresced when concentrated sulfuric acid was added and the resulting mixture was subjected to UV irradiation. Analysis of a methanol extract of the oil (total net volume 3.1 milliliters) by GC/MS confirmed testosterone propionate, cypionate, and decanoate in an approximate 4 : 3 : 1 ratio based on the TIC. The results indicated that the oil was not actually “Sustanon,” but rather a substitute or mimic steroid cocktail. This was the first submission of this type of packaging encountered anywhere within the Pennsylvania State Police Crime Laboratory system.

ResearchChemist.com, a major research chemical website operating out of Georgia, was busted this week. The website sells various bodybuilding ancillary drugs such as Cabergoline, Clomiphene, Sildenafil, Diphenhydramine, Dutasteride, Exemestane, Tadalifil, Finasteride, Letrozole, Tamoxifen, and Vardenafil (”Police: Mansion Residents Earning $30K A Day Making Drugs,” May 14).
Roswell police Lieutenant James McGee said Tuesday the operation sold HGH, testosterone and copy-cat versions of Cialis online and through mail order, netting an estimated $25,000 to $30,000 a day.
The Roswell Police Department SWAT Team and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Office of Criminal Investigations raided the “mansion” home of Christian and Jennifer Navoy in the upscale Sentinel on the River Subdivision of Roswell, Georgia. According to property records, the Navoys purchased the home at 8585 Sentinae Chase Drive, Roswell, GA 30076 for $745,000 in July 2006. They moved to Georgia from Fort Walton Beach, Florida where they were employed as a registered nurse and a licensed physical therapist.
The couple has operated similar websites for several years including SyntholDirect.com and PumpnPose.com where they previously sold research chemicals until the spring of 2004 when they launched ResearchChemist.com (”Roswell Home in Sentinel on the River Subdivision Raided for Sales of HGH, Testosterone, and Copy-Cat Cialis,” May 14).
The couple sold $25,000-$30,000 a day, making more than $100,000 a week selling the drugs over the internet all over the country. It is believed the couple had been producing the drugs for years, however it wasn’t until recently when authorities received a tip that they began investigating.
According to the Atlanta Constitution Journal, charges against Chris and Jennifer Navoy are pending from the FDA. A ***** television station WSBTV reports that the Navoys are now in the custody of the Roswell Police Department after turning themselves in late Wednesday.
While it is unclear if investigators actually discovered anabolic steroids, testosterone or growth hormone, they surely discovered large inventories of the various research chemicals advertised on the website ResearchChemist.com.

It does NOT appear that Chris and Jennifer Navoy distributed anabolic steroids and/or human growth hormone in connection with the bodybuilding research chemicals sold via their website at ResearchChemist.com. This is contrary to a citizen complaint and police and media reports alleging that the couple sold and distributed steroids and HGH online.
The drugs that the couple actually distributed were openly advertised as non-scheduled ?research chemicals? for several years on their websites. Federal authorities seized drugs that are the active ingredients in brand name drugs such as Viagra, Cialis, Dostinex, Clomid, and Arimidex from their home in Roswell, Georgia.
The media is now calling these ?steroid-related drugs? rather than admit this does not appear to be a steroid distribution case.
Police also seized two bottles of testosterone cypionate ?prescribed? to Christian Navoy; human growth hormone was not found anywhere. Agents discovered used syringes, vials, and an empty Component T-H (trenbolone acetate 200mg) box - all consistent with personal use - in the trash outside the Navoy?s home over the course of a three month investigation. One hundreds vials of Livzon brand human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG), which is not an anabolic steroid or growth hormone, were seized by customs officials arriving from China.
The small quantities of testosterone and trenbolone suggest that these anabolic steroids were solely for personal use (bodybuilding purposes) and not distribution.
The only charge listed in the criminal complaint is the ?unlawful distribution of sildenafil citrate? also known as Viagra.
This case could very well establish the precedent for legality of the sale of ?research chemicals? that are of particular interest to the bodybuilding community. The research chemical niche has thrived for several years on the internet.

According to court documents, their case was apparently part of a larger ongoing investigation of the “British Dragon Anabolic Steroid Manufacturing and Distribution Organization” by federal investigators. Clearly, the recently arrested founder of British Dragon has been on the steroid most wanted list for some time.
The New England Field Division, Financial Investigation Team (NEFD FIT) is currently conducting an investigation into an international steroid manufacturing, importing and money laundering organization operating from Thailand, Austria, Moldova, The Peoples Republic of China (PRC), the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Greece, Canada and other countries. This organization is referred to as the BRITISH DRAGON ANABOLIC STEROID MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTION ORGANIZATION.
The DEA-Boston investigation centers on the importation of BRITISH DRAGON brand steroids into the United States by a series of manufacturers, wholesalers and repackagers/shippers based in the above-mentioned foreign countries.
All of the following information is a matter of public record and entered into evidence by federal authorities.
Court documents reveal that the DeProspo brothers claimed to have purchased over $100,000 in anabolic steroids primarily British Dragon from Alin at alin@heartcable.org in Moldova and IP at iphest@gmail.com in China. (Federal investigators have documented over $40,000 in transfers.) They transferred funds via Western Union to various recipients including “Matt Vanalst,” “Stela Batin,” “Stubei Ala,” and “Stubei Galina” in Moldova and “Xioming Yang Yang” and “Goucheng Jiang” in China.
DeProspo admitted to successfully having about 150 steroid shipments sent to his parents home and subsequently had them delivered to his college post office box and various UPS Store private mail boxes.
The case against the DeProspo brothers was made using video surveillance, public records, telephone records, pen register and trap and trace information, and search warrants on various email addresses used by defendants including arthurjonesmail@yahoo.com, jazkillakasno@aol.com, and KAS1N0l3I30Y@aol.com.

It's been reported all over that Viagra abuse will most likely be rampant in these Olympics. Many "authorities" say that it helps performance in any sport that requires longer performance times. Whether this is true or not, i don't know. Viagra will most likely be banned, but not in time for these games.

The U.S. Anti-Doping Agency said Friday the 21-year-old sprinter had withdrawn from the team nearly a month after she tested positive for a low level of clenbuterol, a prohibited anabolic agent, at the Olympic trials.
"She accepts the fact that the testing was properly done and the results properly reported," her lawyer, Howard Jacobs, said in a statement released late Friday night.
He said investigations were trying to determine the source of the clenbuterol. Once those are completed, Jacobs said, Hardy "will seek to have her period of suspension reduced substantially" by presenting evidence to an arbitration panel. Jacobs expects a hearing on the issue within several months.

Antibiotics, growth stimulants, and steroids are often used by Chinese breeders to boost meat production. Some athletes fear those banned substances could show up in the local food they eat and then in their drug tests, disqualifying them from the Olympic competition.
Athletes' concerns are justified, notes Caroline K. Hatton, former associate director of the Olympic Analytical Laboratory at the University of California, Los Angeles, which tests athletes for banned drugs. A number of published studies have shown that consumers who took blood tests soon after eating meat containing anabolic steroids tested positive for the hormones, says Hatton, who is now a consultant to antidoping organizations.
Chinese officials insist that the local food supply is drug-free, but at least one Chinese athlete's experience suggests otherwise. In late June, China banned top swimmer Ouyang Kunpeng for life after testing positive for steroids. The star backstroker said that while on vacation he may have eaten meat injected with clenbuterol, a banned body-building drug. Although the steroid is barred for use by Chinese farmers, more than 300 people became ill in 2006 after eating clenbuterol-tainted pork in Shanghai.
To avoid a repetition of Ouyang's experience, the U.S. Olympic Committee has made arrangements to feed athletes at its training center at Beijing Normal University, about 20 minutes outside the Olympic Village. The athletes will be eating beef, chicken, and pork shipped from U.S. suppliers. Others have made their own special food arrangements, too, such as the Canadian, British, and Australian teams. Leading up to the Olympics, Chinese officials said they had set up extensive farm-to-table monitoring systems for food intended for Olympic athletes.
In addition, Wu Zhen, vice commissioner of the State Food & Drug Administration, says his agency has cracked down on illegal production and distribution of anabolic agents. And during the past year, he says, the agency has also penalized 321 websites that illegally offered anabolic steroids for sale.

Clenbuterol is banned in food animal use in the US--this includes Horses destined for food. It isn't in other countries. Trace amounts in contaminated meat will show up in humans eating the food. its a stretch, but its not impossible.

JT: Yes, it is the king and the strongest. If evolution is true, the body has made innumerable genetic changes over time to produce the perfect anabolic agent. Unfortunately, for scientists, testosterone has side effects that we don't want such as male-pattern baldness, acne, potential prostate cancer. Still, the human body is amazing and after millions of years, testosterone is what it has come up with.

A federal judge sentenced a Camarillo man to nine months in community confinement and six months in home confinement on Friday after he pleaded guilty in May to trafficking human growth hormone obtained from Australia and China, according to federal prosecutors.
Jeffrey Rock also forfeited $125,000, the profit from the sale of the drug.
Rock was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Mary Lisi in Providence, R.I.
Thomas Connell, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office in Rhode Island, couldn't be reached for comment Friday afternoon.
Rock, 35, sold the growth hormone through the use of Web sites and encrypted e-mail. He promoted the hormone as a way to achieve muscle growth and fat loss.
It is unlawful to distribute human growth hormone without a valid prescription, and federal law restricts its use to a few specified diseases, according to prosecutors.
Rock pleaded guilty to smuggling goods into the U.S., two counts of distributing human growth hormone and three counts of money laundering. Rock operated his business under names such as Gavin Kane Enterprises and RockHard Physique.
The China-based supplier, GeneScience Pharmaceutical Co., and CEO Lei Jin are charged in a federal indictment in Rhode Island with operating an international human growth hormone smuggling operation. A warrant is outstanding for Jin's arrest.
Prosecutors said GeneScience has forfeited to the federal government about $2.7 million that federal agents seized from banks in New York.
In a recent report, experts say that athletes may not be getting the boost they expected from human growth hormone, according to The Associated Press.
While growth hormone adds some muscle, it doesn't appear to improve strength or exercise capacity, according to a review of studies that tested the hormone in mostly athletic young men, according to Dr. Hau Liu of Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose, who was lead author of the review.
Human growth hormone is made by the pituitary gland and promotes growth. A synthetic version has been available since the 1980s, and its use is restricted for certain conditions in children and adults, including short stature, growth hormone deficiency and AIDS.

I'm not surprised they targeted him, but HCG is nothing to arrest a man for IMO. A simple ticket and confiscation would have been fine.

not computer savvy enough to post a link but as a big saints fan down here in the New Orleans area it was just reported that deuce, will smith, charles grant and several other players tested positive for bumetanide, a diuretic.. they say it can be cocktailed with other compounds as a masking agent (which is what i believe they were trying to accomplish now)... why would a rb or de try to be losing weight via diuretics in the middle of the season? i've had friends take clen, and have heard some of the adverse sides of diuretic use, none of which any kind of football player would want to experience during the course of a season..never heard of bumetanide before... only conclusiion i can come to is that they were taking moderate dosages to mask other performance enhancing substances...thoughts?

Maximum Steroid Trafficking Sentences to Double

Congress has unanimously passed a bill (H.R. 6353, S. 980) to place strict controls on Internet pharmacies. Sponsored by Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) and Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008 (accessible online at http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill...bill=h110-6353) is named for Ryan Haight, who died at 18 of a drug overdose in 2001 after he obtained Vicodin – not anabolic steroids – over the Internet. The bill was signed by President Bush on October 15, 2008, and became Public Law 110-425. Its most relevant amendments will take effect 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act (on or about April 13, 2009). The Act creates a new statute for offenses involving dispensing controlled substances by means of the Internet. The law attempts to clarify the laws regarding “rogue” online pharmacies and what constitutes a “valid prescription,” and also criminalizes certain advertising conduct in connection with such pharmacies. It also makes it easier for State Attorneys General to go after online pharmacies beyond their state borders.
However, the Act has far broader implications for steroid trafficking cases in general. Let’s look at the most significant changes.
Most importantly, the law increases the maximum sentence for selling anabolic steroids (and other schedule III drugs) from 5 years to 10 years (up to 15 years if use of the drug causes death or serious bodily injury), as follows:
…in the case of any controlled substance in schedule III, such person shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not more than 10 years and if death or serious bodily injury results from the use of such substance shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not more than 15 years, a fine not to exceed the greater of that authorized in accordance with the provisions of title 18, United States Code, or $500,000 if the defendant is an individual or $2,500,000 if the defendant is other than an individual, or both.
For those with a prior drug conviction, the maximum increases from 10 to 20 years (up to 30 years if use of the drug causes death or serious bodily injury), as follows:
If any person commits such a violation after a prior conviction for a felony drug offense has become final, such person shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not more than 20 years and if death or serious bodily injury results from the use of such substance shall be sentenced to a term of imprisonment of not more than 30 years, a fine not to exceed the greater of twice that authorized in accordance with the provisions of title 18, United States Code, or $1,000,000 if the defendant is an individual or $5,000,000 if the defendant is other than an individual, or both.
The increases also apply to steroid importation and exportation crimes, and to the new Internet crimes. The law also increases penalties for crimes involving Schedule IV and V drugs.
The Act suggests that the new maximum penalties themselves should not be the “sole reason” for the United States Sentencing Commission to enhance the federal sentencing guidelines, as follows:
SENTENCING GUIDELINES- The United States Sentencing Commission, in determining whether to amend, or establish new, guidelines or policy statements, to conform the Federal sentencing guidelines and policy statements to this Act and the amendments made by this Act, should not construe any change in the maximum penalty for a violation involving a controlled substance in a particular schedule as being the sole reason to amend, or establish a new, guideline or policy statement.
That being said, it seems very likely that the Commission will conduct a fact-finding process to determine what if any amendments to the guidelines are called for based on the new law. The War on Steroid Trafficking is poised to launch into a higher gear next year.

People who ordered from them are claiming calls from the FDA, telling them to throw out unsanitary products. Also asking if people are sick from the chems.

Definitely not one of the bigger ones, but fairly well known. They had T3 in pill form which I was about 1 day from ordering when they got busted heh.

President Barrack Obama may think the federal investigations into anabolic steroids should not be a top priority for the government, but the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) strongly disagrees. The DEA emphasized that steroids are “extremely dangerous” and respresent a significant threat to public health during a recent press briefing involving the sentencing of Operation Raw Deal defendants (”Pearland couple to be sentenced for operating major steroid pill mill,” January 27).
“It’s not just a drug that can be taken lightly,” explained DEA Special Agent Violet Szeleczky. “It’s something that we still consider extremely dangerous to the public and we’re going to investigate it to its fullest, just as if it were heroin, cocaine or marijuana.”
DEA Special Agent Violet Szeleczky promised to treat anabolic steroid cases no differently than cocaine or heroin cases when it comes to allocating agency investigative resources. Agent Szeleczky made these comments in relation to the sentencing of one of the largest underground labs (UGLs) busted during Operation Raw Deal.
Kenneth Hebert and Leticia Zamora, the owners of TexStar Labs and Phalco Labs, pleaded guilty to distributing millions of dosages of illegal steroids over the internet. Ironically, while the Special Agent Szeleczky continues to demonize anabolic steroids with talk about the dangers and threats to public health, prosecutors are prepared to dramatically slash the sentencing for the defendants in this case.
Prosecutors agreed to give Leticia Zamora probation only after she pleaded guilty to charges that could have landed her 20 years imprisonment and a $500,000 fine.
Similarly, prosecutors agreed to sentencing Kenneth Hebert at the low end of federal guidelines after he faced up to 5 years imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
The demonizing rhetoric by the DEA is necessary to justify the massive costs of Operation Raw Deal.

I don't think anyone really believes they're as dangerous as the claims they make. The real question is what is the motivation for demonizing steroids and other drugs as pot?
Answer: Unlimited future budgeting.
Why win the war against drugs when it brings in so much money to these agencies? If you stopped the war on drugs now then thousands and thousands of people would be out of jobs.
Follow the money and you will always find the truth.
