Classic Physique - Training styles
« on: July 15, 2018, 04:00:30 PM »
Ya know, the classic guys are pretty good for the most part but many of the physiques look like open bodybuilders at a lower weight. Why? Because they don't train the way the old school guys did, they don't use peds the way they did and they don't eat like they did. We have plenty of anadotal evidence the old way worked, as they had more aesthetic cleaner physiques. The classic guys have larger legs and smaller chests. That because that's what the judges want though they like to say they only judge what's in front of them.

Anyway, train like the 80s guys, eat like an 80s guy, drug like an 80s guy you get an 80s guy physique. Today, they just look like smaller open guys in many cases and that's not "classic". 80s bodybuilding was an art form and not too many of these guys and their coaches know how to sculp.

Wesley Vissers is one guy at least that’s dedicated to doing it the old school way. And it shows in his physique.

Can you, or someone outline 80's training style, diet and drug use?

For a typical 80's drug cycle, I'm thinking testosterone and deca?

I remember reading somewhere that the drugs were a lot better back then as well.  Being legal, you could purchase high grade stuff down at the local pharmacy.
