Too bad his website www.dorianyates.net got put down.. It had all his best lifts. If I remember correctly he did 425 x 8 on the incline bench.
just push some weight!

The only thing that's more retarded than the content of this post is the writing style LOL - it's atrocious. I always have a laugh with this shitslinging back and forth. Its what makes Getbig da shit. And I cant wait for The Squad to take you out, LOL, for attacking its most-powerful and revered leader Mr. Sarcasm.

BTW, the only thing that you win for making such a post Sucky is the sweat from the crack of my ass  :D

  HA HA HA! Thanks for the criticism, newbie; I'll try to be more Shakespearian the next time I own your ass ;D. It's hard for me to make an accurate assesment of your writing style, after all, you're a newb with a two-digit post count by your username. But from what I've read from you so far, it makes me look like Dickens. It's actually quite funny:I look at the single star you have next to your username, then the four I have by mine and I ask myself if you're even worthy of a reply. ::)

  By the way, if you weren't such a board newbie, you'd know that "sarcasm" has been owned by me and countless others so many times that, as I've mentioned before, it seems like his ass has been put on public auction. ;D

  Ok, just don't call me "sucky". Personally, I think that if Dorian used truly shitty form, he ould have been able to row--in the off-season--seven plates a side, for six reps. If you think this is impossible, just remember Yates' unreal thickness on the Latissimus Dorsi muscles. Now, remember that I said "shitty form". So, yes, if Dorian used truly shitty form--like Coleman--, he would probably be able to row seven plates a side, for 5-6 reps. Even though Coleman is stronger than Dorian on lower-body movements and the dead-lift, I think that, on back movements, Dorian was the strongest bodybuilder E-V-E-R! :o

SUCKMYMUSCLE

You sound like some star-addled kid who read too many issues of Flex magazine. Nobody on Earth can do rows with 7 plates a side, shitty form or not.

Your credibility = 0.

Thanks for playing.

According to the Big Diesel (courtesy of flex magazine), he built custom 215 lbs dumbells for dumbel rows but soon abandoned them for the barbell when he was quickly able to do easy 12 reps sets. That's hell-a strong!

He should have done two arm dumbell rows like Johnnie O . . .

From the review I made of his DVD:

http://www.bodybuildingpro.com/dorianyates-bloodandguts.html

    * Incline Bench - 185, 225, 315, 405X6
    * Seated Press - 1,1, then his training partner does a set.
    * Incline Dumbbell Flyes - 80, 110X8
    * Cable crossovers X 1
    * Seated Incline Curls (both arms at the same time)
    * Some stretching between sets
    * Cambered Standing Curls X2
    * Machine Curls (Single Arm) poor left biceps from the 1994 tear

By the way, he was nothing close to Ronnie.  Neither was Arnold.   I know some want to believe this but, ...  ::)

Dorian has lifted bigger weights than he did in his movie...also in the movie he didnt do 405x6....if you look closely you will see he has a 5kilo plate on each side..making the weight 425lbs or so

what ever yates' form wasn't that great or better than ronnie's.  both pretty much equal.  yates doin reg dl's was more like straight leg dl's.  as far as rows go when ever you get up in those high #'s (heavier than your own body) your form turns a little looser, not in a bad way but how are you supposed to stay super strict when your pullin' double or more your own body.  not taking away from anyone n not givin either, there both = but ronnie prolly egdes yates a little.  and to the guy that is a trainer w/ the degree that said his #'s and assessments are accurate cause of his credentials, there are others on this board w/ the same or more than and they don't make those kinds of statements so... don't be the average stereotypical know it all trainer that gives all of us a bad name.  there plenty of people out there & on this board w/o a paper from a company looking for $ claiming the best in the biz. personal training  "certification"   ::) , or a sports related degree  :o  that can teach those that do a thing or two.  Those papers don't come with nor command respect, especially when references are made to them.

I have a sports related degree and when it comes to bodybuilding and gaining muscle it was pretty useless, i can make this distinction cause i have a degree and do bodybuilding and gaining muscle with regards to form an technique is different to what we learnt in class and labs

in pure offseason form

Yates rowed 675 for 5
Benched 550 for 5
leg pressed 2000lbs for 12 reps.
And stiff-legged 650 for 6

That crushes Coleman, as would Dorian's '93 or '95 form of any form of coleman
