i see tons of pro bodybuilders listening to ipods...i see everyone at the fitness center has an ipod on in workout...yet i do not own one yeti find sometimes im not motivated in my workouts cuz of the crappy coffee house music my fitness center playsshould i get one? or are there some of u out there like me who do not own them?

Cheaper and healthier way (for your hearing) is to visualise your goals before and during your workout. Visualise them to a point where you block out any distractions, like crappy music, and that becomes your motivation to train.
for cardio yes, but for weightlifting no, you need to be 100% concentrated on weights.
im even more concentrated with music on my head since it also blocks out surrounding distracting sounds.
Ipod's are for fags. Just go get a $30 mp3 player and you'll be alright.
its not only for the music, "instructors" stay out of your way also. not always unfortunately.
