See no problem. Seems her honest belief is that a white doctor would be better. While this may be ignorant...that's debatable...It seems in her mind a white doctor is better...she must know shes going to look racist and all...but doesn't care as long as her son gets the best....
Sometimes its not about being better but just what you feel comfortable with and being able to trust the doctor.
She might not feel comfortable with a negroid or a paki or just not being able to trust them like a 50+ white doctor.

I myself have experienced some real incompetence (as well as language difficulties) in my area here in Sweden from arab doctors (there are 80 % arabs here).
One example (out of many, at least 6+), is where i even had to explain to a doctor how the procedure was supposed to be done (after getting the full information of procedure from the personell in the laboratory).
Even still, he failed. During my years i have seen alot of incompetence (wrong diagnoses, totally insane treatments) like this from these "doctors" from other cultures and had to go elsewhere since it was completely up the walls.
Even the receptionist thought it was completely insane the many times i had to head back to this incompetent doctor and relay information from the other departments how things were supposed to be done.
Had cost me alot of extra time and money. My one advice is this, don't get ill or injured unless you know a certain health center/hospital with competent doctors.
Long story short, i went to the manager responsible for the whole Health center and explained the situation and demanded a white doctor.
The manager explained to me that it was difficult getting real good doctors as well as white doctors in this area, but would arrange a great doctor for me that was very competent.
The manager also did a part of the doctors job (lol) for me
(or the job that the doctor was supposed to do), since the doctor who was supposed to be there wasn't.
From that day on, i always demand a white doctor at the booking, so i don't have to talk to the manager and the manager have to do the doctors job.

Another incident was when i had an appointment at another healthcare center in the area after suffering a trauma on my penis after a too rough reverse cowgirl-session from a lady who was on the thicker side (an ex from back in the day).
I got an African Doctor who had a very unsincere behavior and was not serious at all, he acted very creepy and made me feel uncomfortable and if i see him again i'll punch him out, thankfully this is many many years ago.
Either way, he got me a referral to a Urologist/specialist (which was good), but the way he acted was just downright creepy.
After making the referral so i could head to the specialist, he made a huge grin and chuckled a bit like he was trying to tell a joke (very creepy and unserious behavior), and asked "Can i see it? Can i touch it? (your penis)"
Fuck sake man, i almost lost it there, but kept my cool and said, "No thanks, ill head to the Urologist right away, thanks for your time".
When a normal white doctor says something like "I need to examine your private parts" in a normal , serious and calm manner, its not unfomfortable at all. You know its needed to fix the problem.
But that african doctors behavior was creepy as hell.
Those darn gay africans.
Where's the professionalism?

Either way , long story short, i've been demanding white doctors for years now.
