man,  I loved Shelly Beattie and Nikki Fuller.  I also thought it was pretty cool that Shelley went to the America's cup: I think it was on the 2nd ship but I am not sure.  She held her own I think.   

I didn't get to know Romano at all so can't comment on him in any way. 

Teagan Clive: highly over-rated but highly publicized.  :D

Yeah, I couldn't figure out what Arnold, Weider, JJ Kennedy Jr., Bob Dylan,
David Lee Roth and all of those other high-profile types saw in her EITHER.  Perhaps it was her joie die vivre, lust for a good laugh and exceptional metaphysical energy.  She believed if she trained hard enough, she could actually fly.  (BTW, you can see Romano's training photos all over Teagan's first book, "Getting Stong", published by Runner's World.  He was a kinder, gentler man then.)

Yes, I am old enough to remember the articles in the magazines and I may have even worked out at the same gym at the same time as her way back when.
