Ugh, Saturday morning and I'm on the internet.. :'(

You've got a point.. somewhat.

I was genuinely curious about what you were saying, so I took a look in photoshop and indeed, I discovered that the total width of Phil is in parity.

What you're seeing below is Phil's width compared to Cutlers (no zoom, in that picture he really is wider, though perspective may be the reason).

The second image is why you are wrong.  It is his chest compared with Cutler's.  As you can see, he IS more narrow, it's just in the torso (and you can see that I didn't even do Cutler justice, on the right side, I cut him a bit wrong).

Think about that for a second.  In that photo he's wider than cutler yet his chest is significantly less wide.  I did not in any way modify the image.

When I look at Phil, I don't see a balanced physique.  I see giant, impressive arms, small shoulders compared them and a very narrow chest width.

Hope that lays to rest what you're saying which was valid but not quite the right focus.

I didn't say Phil was wider than Jay , what I'm trying to say is that  the difference is minimal .

haha meso destroying che's thread with minimal effort

the guy is a small, gay man with muscles.

of course the difference is "minimal".  the difference between ronnie coleman and dan hill is "minimal" too, from a normal person's perspective.  another reason why "pro-bodybuilding" is incredibly pathetic: the entire affair is about making a mountain out of a molehill.

I didn't say Phil was wider than Jay , what I'm trying to say is that  the difference is minimal .

I didn't misinterpret what you said - I didn't think you said that Phil was wider than Jay.

But you did ask the reader to compare widths (to debunk that Heath is narrow) and that is what I did.  Then I had a think about how yes, the width is similar, or larger in that photo and why he still looks narrow - and figured it out.

IE, what you were trying to say is irrelevant to the question of if he is narrow.

I could go right through every single one of those photos you posted and post the comparison of chest size and just about every single angle, he's significantly smaller in surface area..  That is primarily why Heath is "narrow".  He has a narrow chest.  I'm still skeptical that he is truly as wide as Jay, but you understand the implication, right?  If he is truly as wide as Jay, he has a very narrow chest.  If Jay is actually wider and that photo doesn't show it, he has an extremely narrow chest compared to Jay.

Either way, Phil Heath is narrow.  That is a fact.

Seen Phil up close.. He is narrow as hell.. Makes his head look enormous lol.. Great shape.. Great insertions..but narrow bone structure.. I.e. rib cage and clavicles.. Look at his college basketball pics to see how truly narrow he was.. Made great improvements, after all , he is mro.. But it is what it is..

I have seen jay in person.. Wide as a glider...

Verdict: Phil is still narrow for a Mr. O

If you don't see the narowness in Phil, you don't have an eye for physiques and their proportions.

Phil Heath is not narrow, you guys think that cause you are comparing him to Ronnie and Jay, the 2 widest bodybuilders. Phil is wider then Dex and maybe even Branch, no on calls them narrow.

He gives the illusion of being narrow from certain angles cause his shouders wrap into his chest and his chest is long verdically making his clavicles look narrow, that's it.

Compared to Markus and other 280 lb behomoths who wouldn't look narrow when your competition weight is 240 lb

you know that jay cutler is not a very wide bodybuilder either, big ron always was superior to little bay butler.
