Me and mine love going on 3 and 4 day hiking trips (minus wife, 4 star hotel is roughing it) but we do 10. Miles in set up our site, jump 2 miles and reset site and then hike out. I drop 5 lbs every trip with 50 ruck stuffed with battle rattle.
Anyone else,

Hilleberg tent I have the kaitum 3 works great but always get a footliner, and bag I use is the zpack 20 degree for fall winter very light... And a sea to summit 40 for late spring summer...
If you have questions will be happy to share info...

Daytime 'backpacking' and hiking is great, however, proper sleeping and latrine accommodations are a must. :)
