The whole situation is unbelievable. It felt like they didn't even want to win.

I can't see how Randolph survives that kind of performance especially with the new stadium opening up soon.

What a mess.

There's no excuse for a collapse like that. Unfortunately, my Red Sox almost blew it as well.

Supposedly the Mets are pretty well hated around the NL.
To much showboating on the team.
Lasting Milledge needs a few more fastballs to his back side.

As a New Yorker and a Yankee fan, I enjoyed watching the Mets choke like they had a giant cock in their mouth.

The Mets sent an email to all season ticket holders apologizing for the collapse. They should have offered refunds instead.

This happened at the worst possible time for them with the new park opening up soon and the ticket/luxury box price increase that accompanies it.

That was awesome.  My Long Island buddies are completely depressed.  I love fans from the northeast, particularily NY, Boston, and Philadelphia.  They get completely despondant when their teams lose and take it to heart.  I love the enthusiasm(and am amused by it at the same time) that they have for their sports teams, but I think they also have the shittiest, loudmouthed, most demanding fans out there.  I still remember when Eagles fans cheered their asses off when a Giants player was taken off the field in a stretcher...and it wasn't cheering knowing whether the guy was going to be alright.  LOL

I predicted the Phillies to win the NL East back in May, right after their horrendous start. My die hard Mets fan buddy said I was full of shit and an idiot. And look who's laughing now! He hasn't talked to me all week. Probably on suicide watch.

Yeah,once Wang got pulled and they put the rook in Torre was kinda conceding the game by not blowing his reliable bullpen pitchers :(
