I think you have forgotten how good Phil looked the last 2 Olympias, and I'm guessing he'll prove a bit more with the year off. Branch's physique gets past this group but not Phil. I can see him 2nd at the Olympia if Kai messes up again. They aren't going to take it away from Phil like that.
I remember a day when Arnold would complain about guys like Yates. Now, he don't even give a damn about his own show, and who wins it.

The right leg is noticeably smaller, and the right lat is torn. His biceps are horrible, and their is a small tear on his inner right pec. Plus his back is a mess. What are chick and dan talking about? His wife, the baby and the comeback, which fueled the judges to give him this show, nothng more or less. Wolf and Evan were better.
And how in the hell did he win best poser, just walking up and down the stage?

It's not necessarily that much has changed except the nature of bodybuilders getting bigger every 5 years. That, in itself, will mess with the natural aesthetic flow of a muscular physique. In other words, there can be a time when you're too big.
It was just easier to look aesthetic back in the older days because the size of the guys was still "normal" for bodybuilding. They were big but not too big. Even guys without the best genetics still looked great. Branch once has this sort of physique, when he was smaller but he's grown much larger now and (to some) has tipped the scales to be too big to be aesthetic.

Saying Branch´s conditiong is "way" better than Wolf´s is just stupid, he might had been drier, but it is by no means a very big difference AND it does not in any case justify the fucking hobgoblin winning over Wolf, Centopani, Beyeke or even Rhoden or Paku.

The heels are only 3 inches. Ray says he's 5'7" but more like 5'6". Branch can't be more than 5'4", needs a stool to get in his truck. They lie about height in the NBA, so why not bodybuilding?
