dyk triple crown winner miquel cabrera was the 25th  player to hit 40 or more doubles and 40 or more homers in same year, but only albert belle did the 50-50 thing in this category.and he did it in a strike year 144 game season.

dyk that only lou gehrig, babe ruth, rogers hornsby and hank greenberg are the only players to hit 40 hrs and 40 doubles and also hit 10 or more triples in the same year.

dyk vern stephens is the only player to knock in 150 or more runs and bat below 300. he had 159 rbis and hit only 290 in 1949. he tied for the league lead in rbis with teammate ted williams.

catcher  drops a strike three pitch runner runs to an unoccupied base counts as a strikeout but not an out you can get 4 strikeouts in an inning that way . it was done by many but only by pete richert in his first game.

that pete gogolak was the first soccer style kicker in both college and the nfl. he finished his career with a 58.8 % fg rate good for 139th place in nfl archives. ;D

in case your wondering the homeruns in extra innings for a career is 22 record held by willie mays also holder of most home runs hit while playing cf 640 of his 660 hit while he played center.

The real argument is that Williams did it in 87 fewer PA.  Then the reverse is that Williams batted against pitchers who built bridges and waited in line for soup in the offseason, whereas Ibanez did it against much better competition.....then it......

No real hate just hate comparisons that dont really fit.  Ted is one of the greatest hitters of all time.  Raul is a solid player.
