Shit.. Nicky Hayden dead

Been watching this dude race since i was like 14 or 15.. We were the same age and was racing 600s back then against the best in the world.

Was on a bicycle in italy or spain? Training, & got hit by a car. Was in a coma for a few days. Just checked on his progress and see he was reported dead 13hrs ago (11am this morning). 😕

Raced MotoGP most recently. Won world championship in 06.bthouhh

Watched him race Suzukis (my team& bike)  as a 16yr old in supersport class. Then for while raced for honda on superbikes and then Ducatis since 03

I can't post Lincoln shot from my phone😊  But yea. Sad. Ironic too huh gets killed on bicycle. Sold all my bikes but one. Still have a custom 97 Valk.  Toss beteeen original year R1 and my old gsxr1100 which was my fav.

Hayden ran a stop light in Italy on his bicycle and a Peugeot smashed him. He suffered massive brain injury as well as chest trauma, and multiple fractures. He was there after the Superbike races over the weekend, which was where he has competed the past 2 seasons, after finishing up a 15 year career in MotoGP. He was world champ of GP in 2006. He, like many of them are avid cyclists as it's a great way for them to train endurance. Ironic that a guy who spent his life going so fast on motorcycles would perish in a bicycle accident.

Sucks that he died but there's nothing worse than a cyclist that doesn't adhere to the rules of the road
