Yes, Colombia look very strong.
What do make of Argentina so far? They seem very reliant on Messi at the moment. I think they'll struggle in the latter stages against the bigger teams.

Sabella rattled the squad by changing the formation ...this was not good. I also believe Messi had some nervousness that needed to get passed.  I hope that DiMaria and Higuain start hitting their target.  I think they thought they could cruise through the first stage and were confronted by teams that were ready for them.  Our defense (as predicted) is not like our front line, but who is?  We need to control the Sweed's midget in the next game, and then as you state will be off to some serious games.  I did notice a less stressed Messi on this last game, his second free kick was superb and I do believe that is from him being able to concentrate and focuse more.  It is Messi's world cup. If he does not take Argentina all the way he will be forgotten like many others (batistuta).  If he wishes to rise to Pele and Maradona level he will need to lead his nation to victory.  He is at his prime, and although he still has a world cup or two left in him, none will be at the 100% he is at now.  He has improved in every game thsi world cup, or should I say the whole team has.  But they need to keep rising the bar and Messi needs to keep playing exceptionally well in order to go all the way.

Brazil (barely)
Uruguay (playing well so far)
Mexico (because fuck Holland!)
Costa Rica (Greeks will go on strike if they don't win, and forfeit the game)
France (best of those two African teams)
Germany (they always get through somehow)
Argentina (How the fuck did Switzerland even get there?)
Belgium (both very fit teams, but Belgian players are more cunning)

Switzerland got there with that no neck midget guy...

Brazil V Chile i can sense an upset here. and tbh i hope there is. i wanted brazil to win this wc but they haven't impressed me one bit. they'll probably do enough though to get through though.
Colombia V Uruguay

Netherlands V Mexico going with my heart on this one. love the mexi's and their fans 8)
Costa Rica V Greece

France V Nigeria
Germany V Algeria

Argentina V Switzerland
Belgium V USA i can see this one going to penalties though, and if it does, then perhaps belgium will win, but i hope usa. they've shown great team spirit and did very well against all expectations to qualify from their group.

Agree, no easy victories, now no more draws & penalty eliminations will start.

The teams that play like a machine (Germany and Netherlands) look like they're gonna roll Argentina etc.

Germany is in fact not playing like a machine,  although they are playing well.  Now Holland on the other hand...that is machinery for you.  And Colombia is killing it to. I would not be afraid of germany as much as holland and Colombia.

I'm not referring to the U.S. game, but there is no disputing that Germany rolled Portugal. I don't care who they would have played that day....it was going to be a rout.

We are not Portugal.   We also came out of our group with a perfect score, Germany did not.  Portugal is eliminated, we are not.  Im not saying they are not good...but I will say that they are no Holland,  Colombia or Argentina.

I agree......their entire offense is centered around a single decent Messi free kick once a game.
