I worked for a funeral enterprise for a year, what I can tell is that even after a very short time you start to "relax" around dead people, the fascination (good or bad) to see or feel a dead body only lasted for a few month with me, after that it just becomes somewhat normal.
I have seen a lot of stuff that I would consider not really appropriate behavior, most people think dead people are being treated like they are glass once they are on the slab, its just work and bodies need to be shifted around, so there are very little sentimentality left.
Necrophilia in the above instance (and I haven't read the article) doesn't have to be straight up fucking a corps but could also be sticking a finger into something that he really should have and such things.
