I don't agree. He had huge arms, but I wouldn't say his separation was all that spectacular. Lee Haney for example has smaller biceps and triceps than Ronnie, but had far better separation, where every head of the bicep and triceps muscles "popped" out.

Dorian and Ronnie are by far the two greatest bodybuilders ever at their peak. However, if Lee Haney would have taken the shit those two did he would be the best. However, I think Ronnie at his best smokes Yates every year every except 2003. In 2003 Yates was the man. Badass Mofo there. However, for complete size and domination Ronnie would shit on Yates. However, Yates had conditioning that was gnarly in 2003 and even 2005 (although his biceps were fucked up).

Sorry Hulkster but nothing beats this side chest shot taken backstage at the 1993 Olympia. Unlike you I actually saw Yates hitting the pose in person a month later at the 1993 EFBB British Championships in London and all I can say is his physique has yet to be matched. Coleman got his ass kicked by a one hit wonder in 2002 and again by a fridge in 2006.That's an actual side chest not like ronnies front chest

thanx Cswol and Swami. i always fukked up my prep and looked like an idiot on stage. i have been over 235lbs. within 4 days of a show, and end up under 215 looking worse on stage. don't ask me how, but i'd always melt like crazy.
i can see why pros pay as much as 5 grand to have someone walk them through the last week before a show.

one year i was pretty ripped at 240 (5'9ish) and milos promised to take me through the final two weeks. well i got to that point and he flat out stopped taking my calls. i ended up at less than 210 onstage from 240 in this pic.

I saw Ronnie on saturday night in the Lobby entering his way to the auditorium, my thoughts were, why is Ronnie still wearing his oversize suit?....Ronnie, you're not 295lbs ripped to the bone anymore....it's ok to wear a normal suit now, you'd look better ...we know what you used to look like.....in the meanwhile, around 8:37pm or so, Phil Heath had just arrived, by himself and was walking toward the front door looking like his small suit was about to blow up on him...... :)

Now that is a f**king great shot! There's something sort of 'billowy' (for want of a better word) about the way his muscles appear to almost hang off his body... That's genetics for you I suppose. Someone else who looked vaguely similar in that specific way to me was the British Sprinter Dwain Chambers, although obviously in a much smaller way...Looks like 2000.... IMO Ronnie's best year.
