The shoulder blade/scapula set up is more important than the angle.

Bench shirt with butt raised and bouncing weight off of beer gut for maximum upper pec stimulation.

32.5% incline targets the upper 1/8 of the pecs better.

a few times in the past I lowered to 30 degrees for inclines just to see, and noticed a really good chest pump.
But then I switched to 45 degrees...and I noticed the front delt come into play.
All the mags say 45, but here you have this guy saying 30 degrees and you are really targeting the upper chest. And almost all the fixed barbell incline presses are set at 45 degrees.

The higher the incline = more deltoid and less pecs.

Yes. Great for those pecdominant bodytypes like arnold me and other week shoulder guys...

Always been thinking genetics are genetics. Nothing to do about it. But spending some time on my shoulders 2 years by doing high volyme (20-30set) of strict side laterals and high inclines and regular shoulderpresses have generate dramatic progress in the shoulder area. Same for my arms

Bodybuilders isent full of shit. Doing strikt form, feel the muscles, contract and work the weak area really does it. Not leting your powerfull muscles taking over and start looking like an asymetrial mutant.

Yet look at all the fixed incline benches (not the adjustable ones). All are fixed at 45 degrees. If the science shows that you get more of an activation at 30, why are not more fixed incline benches made at that angle?

It may look 'cross fit', but to me the incline press on a swiss ball feels more effective, since I'm able to keep the front delts much better out of the movement.

i worry too much doing any type of chest press on a ball-scared the ball will explode or roll away-i think sitting on a ball to do shoulder presses from time to time is good to add in-really makes u keep perfect form

I will only do them at 30 degrees.  If the bench is fixed at 45, forget it.  Too much a pain in the shoulders.

My gym has a ball with a smaller circumference, which has some weight inside to prevent it from rolling away. It also has a bit rough, rubber-like surface.
