Drogon torched the iron chair because he forgot Jon was standing right next to him.  ::)

Lol at people melting down about a show.

Get a grip. It’s a show. The last season was crappy. Get over it.

Lol at fans demanding an apology.

What you say makes sense, but look at the overall investment some people have placed into this show.

You pay for a subscription.

You devote endless hours to each of the 8 seasons. Hours that you could have invested doing other things.

It's also a somewhat emotional investment, as you get vested in these characters. Much like a good book can make you happy or sad when the protagonist dies, same idea here.

Some people even bought/read the books to add more color to the story.

You pay attention to the plots and build upon the clues the show runners gave you throughout the various episodes/seasons.

Then, at the end, they deliver a very weak ending that lacked much of the wonder the rest of the episodes had.

Truthfully, it could have ended during the penultimate episode and it would have been perfect.

That said, it's just a show and like many shows, there's no guarantee that it will have a phenomenal ending regardless of the build-up.

I pay a subscription for HBO NOW and there are more than enough movies and shows to get your money's worth. So, even if the last season of GOT was bad, there is still more than enough content to satisfy one's needs. And, if people only subscribed to HBO NOW for GOT, that is their problems.

You devote endless hours to each of the 8 seasons. Hours that you could have invested doing other things.

That's their problem.

Fair enough. But, HBO NOW never promised a specific type of ending. You watch at your own risk. I don't think people should bitch and moan about an ending they do not like when the directors or producers never promised anything to begin with.

Truthfully, it could have ended during the penultimate episode and it would have been perfect. That said, it's just a show and like many shows, there's no guarantee that it will have a phenomenal ending regardless of the build-up.

Okay, so after all that, you basically agree with me.  :) :)

I dont think people who have never watched the show should complain about fans reactions to a show.

Why even have opinions, on anything?

Our watch has ended, but there is still a bit more Game of Thrones goodness to be had in the week after the series finale. And now that HBO TV has finally aired the new documentary about the final season, it's time to dive deep on all of the behind-the-scenes action that took place while filming these last episodes.

Something I haven’t read about is how the rest of the council so willingly accepted to be ruled by Bran when even his own sister didn’t want to and declared independence. You’d think the rest would have been like fuck this retarded raven. We want to be independent as well.

What It’s Like to Write a Finale Your Fans Hate

Battlestar Galactica showrunner Ronald D. Moore has some advice for the writers of Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones climaxes with Tyrion Lannister talking the lords of Westeros into making the most consequential decision of the entire series. Is it the right one? Not even Tyrion can say for certain: “Ask me again in 10 years.”

It’s been 10 years since the final episode of a beloved genre series whose conclusion enraged some of its most ardent fans. A few months later, i09 modestly asked “Did Battlestar Galactica Have The Worst Ending In Science Fiction History?” (For once, Betteridge’s Law did not apply.) Time has been kinder to Battlestar’s ending, but it’s still bitterly divisive. What’s it like to work on something for years and write an ending that has people calling for your head? We asked Ronald D. Moore, Battlestar’s showrunner and the writer of the fateful finale, how it sits with him a decade later, and whether he has any words to help Game of Thrones’ David Benioff and D.B. Weiss weather the storm.
