I have the same problem with my customer! His breath smells like his innards and it permeates the room like! I keep a bowl of mints on the desk and offer him the bowl but he in turn says "No thanks, they'll just make my breath stink"  OMG, hellllllp!

My question is why can't people with bad breath smell their own breath? I guess this will be answered on the last day too!

They say that if someone licks their hand and then smells it shortly after it's dry they can sort of gage what their breath smells like at the moment.

I think I will tell him up front " Excuse, me but your breath smells like Chitterlings; before they are cleaned"!

   There is a dude that works with me who has breathe that stinks so bad you can see it.

   He blames it on him being diabetic. (my money is on the gum disease)

My mother is diabetic so I asked her if that would make someone's breathe smell( hers does not stink)

She said "yeah...sometimes it can make your breathe smell sweet..like fruit..if your sugar is really high.)

 I thought...NO, his don't smell   like fruit. ... not unless Burnt ASS has recently been classified as a fruit without me knowing.

The fact that we cannot effectively smell our own bad breath is one reason we have this rule of social etiquette:  if someone offers you a breath mint, accept it (they may be trying to kindly tell you something).

Always keep breath mints or the equivalent (chewing gum, etc.) in your car, in your purse, in your desk at work.  The listerine breath strips are my mint of choice.

When at home, I brush, then Waterpik, then Listerine.  Occasionally, I floss... though my hygienist agrees that if you Waterpik you rarely need to floss.  When used correclty the Waterpic reaches under the gumline.

Why don't you spring for a bottle of mouthwash for them, and include an anonymous typewritten note informing them of the unbearable situation.

Certainly seems more productive and pro-active than suffering in silence

The guy polluting my air; you can smell his breath through the phone! I have since suggested that text msging is a more suitable form of communication!
