Author Topic: Listen to this! Ferrari 599 GTO (Read 6043 times)

Here is the thing, the 599 has a detuned version of the Enzo engine in it, always has. The Ferarri FXX is base on the Enzo and had taken the engine to 750 hp and then to 800-900 hp. So the 599 XX has the same engine and puts out 700, which means it was detuned for that. And now, the 599 GTO has 670 (661 SAE) hp....all from the same Enzo based V12....

I see a Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series vs Ferrari 599 GTO comparo.
Both have 661 hp, both are super GT cars that are lightened versions of the standard car. Except the 599 GTO is a detuned version of a rolling laboratory 599XX. Which one would win?

I know that. Lightness, gearing, tranny, grip, electronics. They all can make a car faster or slower. I am drawing comparisons to two cars that seem to look on paper like rivals. Although their conception was of different births...

Love Ferraris', but if I was doing heavy mods the Porsche GT2 RS would be my choice.

Really, I am as far from a fag as you can get and I have had two of them. And the fancier one is owned by another hetereo who actually owned 12 of them. I thought you gays could spot your own kind better.

Porsche has a more storied pedigree than 99% of the brands out there. Only Ferrari surpasses them.

Sounds like you are butt-hurt by their commercial success. That success comes from them making incredable driving machines.

The new 911 tt has over 600 horses and is a fine automobile.

Thanks, I don't know shit like they do. I can fix cars pretty good. I wing it. I took autoshop in high school all four years. But, knowing tech stuff and shit like they know I am in the dark. If I like something I buy it. If it runs great even better. I have to say I am maybe shallow when it comes to cars. I usually go for looks first or what I can do with it. I have had some nice cars but my all time favorite is still my Jeep CJ7. Cause back then I went to Palm Springs alot and camping and loved to go off road. And in that I could just turn right and go. I had a chance to buy that red Porsche on the bottom at an unreal price. I wish I should have but at the time I didn't need it. Never owned a Ferrari but drove my friends 308 GTB almost every weekend. I loved going over the St Thomas bridge in San Pedro on the way to Huntington Harbor and through Belmont Shores in 1st gear. The clubs I went to I would always make sure I drove by the front entrance where the lines were filled with hot chics. Had to make sure everyone saw me in the car. AND it did help and make it easier to pick up someone. As bad as that sounds
