If Phil's width was going to be a problem it would have been one before he finished 2nd in the Arnold and the Olympia.
The judges clearly aren't going to penalize him for it.
And I'd take Phil's width problem over Jay's 46 inch waist problem anyday.

Phil and Jay both are benefitting from competing in a very weak field.

No derailing the thread , don't be a hypocrite , Shawn was among the narrowest guys on-stage and yet you claim he should be Mr Olympia.

I doubt Shawn was wider than Phil especially considering he's shorter it may ' appear ' so in pictures but you can't say unless you seen them side-by-side

Its not just his arms....Phil has back detail like no other, has great quads and hams and delts, good traps, good calves, good abs, okay chest...it's the way he is put together---his flow, so to speak...yeah, he has some great arms, but it you lok at him beyond that, he is well put together...remember Mike Mattarazzo had "great arms" (I didn't consider them great) and calves, but once you take those away, he had a very mediocre physique.

Naw not at all I don't hate Heath at all... Aside from the width I think he would make a great mr o very well spoken
What I hate is the fact that he does get a free pass because his standout body part is arms... Which is a very beach body mentally.. I've seen pros in real life with huge arms but it's the WIDTH that sets them apart from everyone else... Try and visualise Phil arms scaled back but has huge pecs instead of arms

No I don't think Phil should beat Kai or Dexter when they are on. They have a muscle quality that Phil simply doesn't have.
Phil beats Rockell badly from the rear so yes, he does beat him.
Phil has benefitted greatly from having great arms. But he also has great shape and flow to his physique. He's also very maketable.
In the pathetic field competing today, Phil clearly has what it takes to be Mr. Olympia. In the 90s he's be lucky to make the posedown.
