Yeah, ;D I kind of was hinting at that. Everything I read says that after an hour your cortisol levels go up and it is just not very productive but I guess Kymou hasn't experienced that? ???

I think you need to accomplish some basic things before you go and try to train for 2 hours a day.

My workouts usually last 2.5 - 3 hours, but I don't train everyday - just 7 times over 2 weeks (4 times one week and 3 times the next). There is no right formula that applies to everyone - some people recover faster and some slower. You've got to find what works for you and not just frequency-wise.

I train for an hour, hour and 15.  My body gets to a certain point in the worout when I know i've fatigued the muscles enough and anymore would be pointless.

My workouts last anywhere from an hour to an hour and a half if I'm doing two bodyparts, throw in cardio sum total can be 2 to 2.5 hours..

The cornerstone of stupidity for the new lifter. I fell victim to this.

I work out for about an hour and do atleast 2 drop sets per exercise. I really feel like i need to hit my muscles really hard to get a good workout. Sometimes my workout will take an hour 20 to an hour 30 if i do both chest and tris. I hate ready in magazines where the "pros" workout is 3 exercises 4 sets for chest, maybe it is just me but that wouldn't get me to grow.

"dude", I trained natural for a few years and I was training 2 hours per workout without any problems.

Also I know quite a few natural weightlifters who train twice a day, 5 days a week and their strenght and muscle mass improves at a very good rate for naturals

Oh the "45 minutes" in and out thing...

thats total bulshit. Just start with a training programm you like, high volume, moderate volume anything... and stick to it by adding/cutting exersices reps/set if you see results. In other words listen to your body and what works for you.

as a natty when i was 17 i trained for like 3 hours a day and grew like a weed.

I honesty think  a bit of this comes down to age. When I was in my teens-early 20's I could hang for  90 min -2 hours, 4 times a week  and it wasn't a big deal. Now 10 yeas later with real life commitments, that workload just wears me down.

I've found that 3x wk/1hr. seems to to a nice happy compromise. I've also found that exercise selection plays a big part.  I've dumped or cut back a lot of the small stuff.

How could anyone, especially a natural train 2 hours a day with any amount of intensity?
