Youre right it probably does make it a tad easy to make the play offs though when 4 of your games are pretty much gimmes...

its easy to get to the playoffs when all you have to do is go .500 and you will be 10-6 b/c you have 4 gimme games a year and that goes for the ravens too...

AFC south is arguable the toughest division in the league and if not the toughest one of the toughest...ever wonder why everyone in the AFC south was .500 or better last year?

I wish.  It's torn.  However, they do have Julian Edlemen who is about 80% of what Welker is, so all is not lost.

I think 80% is being generous. Edleman is a good replacement and they're almost like clones, physically. But Welker is so much better of a player because of his field awareness and superior agility. Edleman is a rookie, right?

I dunno, Edlemen had over 90 yards today against a very good Texans defence.  How much more would Welker have been good for, 20-30 yards or roughly 20-30 percent?  I'd say Edleman can be 75-80% of what Welker is.  That's still a huge difference.
