To think, all this time I believed there were basic needs for food shelter and clothing. But in truth I was brainwashed by the media. Human race didn't evolve through 1000's of years of reproduction....thats for idiots. ::)

Exactly, its not a conspiracy and in no way am I suggesting it is. As for preventing anarchy, many staunch captilialists, including Friedrick Hayek, acknowledge one of the purposes of the welfare state is quell rebellion and prevent anarchy.

The control is only absolute to the degree people will put up with. They life massive overhead from the perceived "free" market, trade and enterprise. With increasing taxes and regulations it's more directed now than ever, bail outs for the big banks and insurance companies payed by the production of taxpayers.
