haha!  Christine Sabo won the LHWs at the USAs and stands a DAMN good chance of winning this show too.  Kris Murrell will be a FORCE in the HWs if she brings the conditioning.  No easy match for this LW, that's for damn sure!  Can't wait to get on stage though!!

I would like to extend major good luck wishes to two of my best friends in this industry:  Cindy Martinez from Florida--in the Figure A class--and Jen Kersten Jewell from Canada--in the Figure B class.  Jen just won her class at the CBBF Canadian Figure Nationals and looked amazing!  Both women have been competing about as long as I have and are very dedicated and beautiful competitors who I respect and admire and have depended upon for mental/emotional fortitude throughout my own competition prep.

I don't know who the favorites in figure are...you never really know with figure... but I am pulling for my friend Vanessa Adams who should be in the A class.  She's MY favorite!

Melissa has decided to pull out of the North Americans and wait to compete at Nationals.  I'm bummed out to not compete with her, but I can totally understand and support her decision.  Here's what she posted on another board:

I just wanted to thank you all for all the sweet posts and support you have shown me in all the threads about the contest. i appreciate ea. and every one of you for being there during a HELL prep, lol, and i can't thank you enough.
after seeing dave at the europa and talking to him, i decided not to do the north americans and wait for the nationals. he recommended i even do the eastern usa show in ny the week before and that sounds good too. i am very close....but i don't think i can be 100% by showtime....i think i am a couple weeks behind where i'd feel confident being. if i go to a show at my very best and don't place as high as i wanted...that's fine....i can totally live with that. at least i went in "swingin", lol and gave it my all. i just don't feel comfy getting up there knowing i wasn't MY best. i will do the nationals and be in the best condition of my life considering where i am right now and i still have like what...12 weeks left or so? dave said my arms and delts and back as well as my hams are bigger/better than ever....that i have made huge improvements there and i just need to dial my condition in. thats what i'm going to do. again, i have read all of everyone's sweet motivational replies and i thank you all.
