RIP, Was one of my favorite heavyweights of the era! He had an awkward style and was a lefty! One of the best physique's in boxing! He was also in the movie Mandingo!

I remember all of those '70's fights. My Da was a scientist-type, but we always seemed to end up in basements with like-tenured folks, who made faux-sparring swings at the tv. Must be 35-40 years ago.

Congestive Heart Failure. He had had a couple of strokes in the last few years too. He was 70.

Norton felt he broke Ali's jaw in the 12 with a left hook, he mentioned that that was the point were Ali lost his pep and became a lot more respectful and defensive against him.

There was also Norton / Duane Bobick . Bobick was from a family of fighters, and was under Frazier/Futch's guidance. Norton, who was also trained by Futch for the Ali fights made short work of him -

norton v holmes was IMO one of the best heavyweight fights EVER and the 15ht round one of the greatest rounds EVER in all of boxing history

70's Heavyweight Boxing was the greatest. Ali, Shavers, Norton, Frazier, Foreman, etc...

They all took each other on, without question... RIP Ken..
