Title: Rick Perry's Iowa Caucuses Team is in Iowa
Post by: 240 is Back on July 18, 2011, 12:40:32 PM
DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Key advisers to Texas Gov. Rick Perry are beginning to lay the groundwork for a campaign for Iowa's leadoff GOP presidential caucuses by making inquiries about the process in case the Republican seeks the 2012 nomination.

But they caution that their preliminary planning does not indicate that the Republican has decided whether to run.

Perry's chief consultant Dave Carney acknowledged in an interview with The Associated Press that he was asking questions about the political landscape, the caucus process and potential staff in Iowa.

He characterized the fact-finding as part of preparations for what would be a later entry by Perry into the race than many other candidates. Carney said the three-term governor has not determined whether he will seek national office.

Perry would beat obama worse than reagan did Carter at this point.

Is this the same Rick Perry that used to be a Democrat and was once Al Gore's campaign manager?  The same Rick Perry that blocked the Texas House from passing a unanimously voted on bill to ban TSA groping at the state's airports?  The same Rick Perry that supports NAFTA and the trans texas corridor superhighway?  The same Ricky Perry that attends Bilderberg meetings?

yes on all counts.  Completely undeniable.

In times like this, it's important to think about how much we hate obama.  We would totally prefer a former dem, globalist looking to create a NAU.... over the guy we have now.

Now, can we please have 12 posts about how much obama sucks so we don't have to think about Perry's intention to hand over things to the wealthy?

Rick Perry blocked the bill on groping?

I believe the blocking is an ongoing thing.

He says there isn't time.  There's time to sign books and explore in Iowa, of course.  But no time to put up the TSA bill for a vote.  ;)

Wow  >:(

I'm sure we can defend it by pointing out something negative about obama.

A "Rick perry in iowa" thread would be incomplete without a dozen or so posts about why Obama sucks.

i would vote bachmann or perry over obama any day.

it's fun to discuss which repub candidate would be the strongest, however.

getbiggers still can't separate comparing the strengths and weaknesses of GOP candidates from obama kneepadding.

Rick Perry Accuses Obama Of Leaving Astronauts To 'Hitchhike Into Space'
ABC News ^ | July 21, 2011 | The Note, Michael Falcone

As America bids farewell to the space shuttle era on Thursday, likely presidential candidate Rick Perry appears none too pleased with the Obama administration, accusing the president of “leaving American astronauts with no alternative but to hitchhike into space.”

In a sharply worded statement issued by the governor of Texas -- the state is home to the Johnson Space Center -- Perry charges that the Obama Administration “continues to lead federal agencies and programs astray, this time forcing NASA away from its original purpose of space exploration, and ignoring its groundbreaking past and enormous future potential.”

Wow, Perry couldn't find a position on this debt thing to adhere to... he thinks space travel is more important an issue?

That's kind of a dumb attack especially considering OB has directed NASA to start the next step in space exploration being asteroids and mars and moving more low orbit space flights to private enterprises.

But wait!  Shouldn't Perry be focusing on the economy?

That doesn't sound good.  Do you know if he's fiscally conservative/liberal, socially cons/lib, etc.?

That doesn't win votes in the primary.

Screaming about abortion, stem cell research and NASA is way better for getting the hillbilly vote.

Rick Perry has succeeded in Texas by staying the fuck out of the way. Now whether that's enough to win him an election or not...

The fact 240 is big on him, and he only likes RINOs that he knows Obama will beat, says a lot.

Ron Paul 2012.

socially con to neocon with a few liberal stances on certain issues, as of late he is fiscally conservative but isnt everyone right now? he generally isnt.

he does have the look, which apparently according to your thread goes a ways these days with uniformed voters so, who knows...
