Recommendations for Scammer Thread.
« on: March 17, 2006, 10:00:33 PM »

You know if you guys have people who you know have scammed people recently, all you need to do is give me their information and I'll add it to the thread.

The reason I've locked it, is that I don't want people posting up outdated information which helps no one.

Once these scammers make their move they typically change all their information anyway, so I want to keep everything fresh.

The sooner you give me the info, the sooner I can get the word out.

*Also....whatever you do, don't solicit sources to people via PM.  It will only make you look like a scammer if in fact that source turns out to be bad.

Case in point: DoubleXL.  He did this and I put him in the scammer thread until he whined to Ron to take it down.  It's one thing to give someone a source if they ask you, and another to start PMing people on your own.

i have a recommendation! if you cant post sources then why would you post a scammer thread.
so if you post a so called scammer cause one person got scammed and then 100 other people didnt your gonna cause a problem.
lets say you ordered and got scammed but then i ordered from the same source and i got my stuff, your gonna cry like a baby to everyone on here and then im going to come on and tell you your wrong, and then nobody is gonna know whos right or wrong.why cause problems you cant fix!!!!

I'm the Moderator.

I make the rules.  I enforce the rules.

Credit?  You haven't been on here long enough to determine what credit is.

^That's what we call a "selective scammer".  They tend to make good on some orders and scam others.  In my book, once a source scams they are a scammer.  Case closed.

The only ones on here "crying" are people like you, the newbies who don't listen and get your money stolen.  Who do cry to?  Me.

Case in point:  The DoubleXL situation.

Hopefully some of you who read this will learn from it.

ZEEK, your ignorance is plain as day.

I don't know where you come from or what you do, but you are a newbie in this and it shows.

You are the exact type of person who gets scammed.

......and then will PM me later with a sob story.

Agree 'd....DIV is a heads up person & is outspoken doesnt hold back on anything. I knew some stuff before this site, now I can say I know a lot more but not as much as others & hence forth that is where knowledge comes in. Great IDEA on the scammer list!

^I've been saying this shit forever!!!!!

People still PM me with questions about websites!

PEOPLE:  DO NOT BUY YOUR GEAR OFF WEBSITES!!!!!!

I'm warning you.  The negatives far outweight the positives.

The prices are too high.  The chances of getting your shit seized is too high.  The chances of losing your money is too high.  If that company gets raided for some reason, the Feds have your personal information and credit card#.

Did you think about that?

It's not worth it, IMO.

Why would someone be so fucking dumb as to buy gear with a credit card?

That is what most of these websites require......that's why.

Ordering off a website is a lose-lose situation.

I know quite a few that use Western Union as payment. However, you can look a little suspicious sending money to Pakistan or somewhere like that.

It stands out, but not as much as your personal CC information.

Very true.

However (on a side note) the nice thing about Western Union is you don't need ID for ammounts under $1000.

Anyone had problems with cyberkitz?

I ordered and recieved no confirmation and everytime I emailed the website it was sent back to me saying service unavailible and that the account expired. Did they move or just start scamming? Im not too hurt cause its only 25 bucks and I can cancel the payment on my cc, but I dont want to jump to conclusions. Anyone know the situation?
