BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Told ya so!!!
« on: October 05, 2023, 06:04:06 PM »
The only reason Trumpy showed his face for 2.5 days of the trial this week is because he was using it as an excuse to not have to sit for a deposition related to HIS lawsuit against Cohen.  El Trumpo was not going to be put under oath and asked questions that he could be punished for lying about.  And you just KNOW he was going to lie.

Not to mention those little Trumpturds are not donating to him like they were doing in the past.  Getting a little cash strapped unless he wants to start using his own money.  And he doesn't.   :'(

Expensive attorneys?
Bullshit lawsuit that was going to go nowhere?
Can't lie without punishment?

Yeah....  time to bounce.

Shocking!! :o

Yeah it is.  All this talk about Trumpy being a great businessman, yet he backs out of his $500 Million lawsuit against Cohen.   ::)
Why he could have used half of those winnings to pay Jame's $250M fine and had a nice chunk left over.   Doesn't sound too smart to me.

What happened to this lawsuit?  It was a beautiful lawsuit.  The perfect lawsuit.  Everyone that saw this lawsuit told him that it was the best lawsuit that they have ever seen.  It was bigly hyugely perfect lawsuit.  Totally perfect.  Believe me.

Next up on down the road, the "temporary" part is removed, the lawyers that filed it sanctioned, Cohen sues for attorney fees (and wins), and everyone sees just how Cohen single handily destroyed Trumpy and his little empire.

Trump drops lawsuit against Michael Cohen just days before former president was to be deposed
https://www.google.com/search?channel=ftrc&client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Trump+drops+lawsuit+against+Michael+Cohen+just+days+before+former+president+was+to+be+deposed

Donald Trump dropped his lawsuit against his former attorney Michael Cohen four days before the former president was set to be deposed as part of the case, according to a court filing.

In a one-page court filing Thursday, Trump’s attorney wrote, “Plaintiff, President Donald J. Trump, by and through undersigned counsel, hereby gives notice that pursuant to Rule 41(1)(A)(i) he is voluntarily dismissing this action without prejudice.”

Trump was scheduled to be deposed this week but asked the judge to postpone his deposition to allow him to attend his separate high-stakes civil fraud trial unfolding in New York. The judge allowed a brief delay and ordered Trump to be deposed on Monday in New York.

The judge overseeing the lawsuit denied Trump’s efforts to limit the scope of the deposition, and Trump’s criminal defense lawyer in the hush-money payment case was expected to sit in on the deposition to potentially advise Trump not to answer certain questions that could expose him to liability.

Cohen is expected to testify later this month as a witness for the New York attorney general’s office in the civil fraud trial in New York.

New York Attorney General Letitia James’ office said it opened its investigation after Cohen testified before Congress in 2019 alleging that Trump inflated the value of his properties to get better interest rates on loans and insurance.

The judge overseeing the case found Trump, his eldest sons, the Trump Organization and several executives liable for fraud and canceled the business certificates of some entities in a summary judgment. The case is now in its first week of trial as the state seeks to hold the individuals accountable and prove damages and other claims.

Oh and let's not stop at Cohen (the man that Trumpy fears the most), the Duhnold just dropped his lawsuit against the man that boxed his ears the other day.  Yeah.  That guy.

Any Trumpturd want to explain this?  Call it fake news maybe?  Offer some kind of rambling unbelievable excuse?  Pull some kind of distraction/deflection/denial/off topic reply or tv static out of your ass?  Dust off the old excuse you made when Trumpy dropped his lawsuit against James earlier this year?  Or just sit quietly and act like you don't see it?

Two dropped lawsuits in a week.   I guess he has grifted those moronic supporters to the bone and they can't afford to donate anymore.  Such a shame.   ::)

Trump Drops Lawsuit Against Judge Who Doomed His Company
https://www.google.com/search?channel=ftrc&client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Trump+Drops+Lawsuit+Against+Judge+Who+Doomed+His+Company

A week into his bank fraud trial, Donald Trump late Thursday night dropped his oddly aggressive lawsuit against the judge overseeing the case—a move that had been seen as a last-minute scramble to avert a potential unraveling of the tycoon’s real estate empire.

But that happened anyway when Justice Arthur F. Engoron concluded the former president was a serial liar who faked the size of his buildings and value of his properties for years, ordering the family business’ licenses to be revoked.

Scared puppy.  Never surrender?  And yet surrendered two lawsuits within 24 hours.

"Didn't want to answer questions under oath": Trump abruptly drops Cohen lawsuit ahead of deposition
https://www.google.com/search?channel=ftrc&client=firefox-b-1-d&q=%22Didn%27t+want+to+answer+questions+under+oath%22%3A+Trump+abruptly+drops+Cohen+lawsuit+ahead+of+deposition

Cohen told the Messenger that the reversal validates his belief from the start that Trump only filed the case to scare him away from acting as a star witness in his civil and criminal battles.

"As I said from the beginning: this case was nothing more than a retaliatory intimidation tactic, and his attempt to hide from routine discovery procedures confirms as much," Cohen said. "Mr. Trump's cowardly dismissal spells the end of this latest attempt to deter me from providing truthful testimony against him."

He added that his attorneys will look into "holding Mr. Trump accountable for his latest abuse of the legal system."

Legal experts speculated online that Trump axed his lawsuit against Cohen to avoid speaking under oath during the deposition.

"Of course right before his deposition on Monday, no less. I guess Trump didn’t want to answer questions under oath…" MSNBC host and legal analyst Katie Phang wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

"This is so Trump didn’t have to sit for a deposition, which he kept putting off," added Andrew Weissmann, a former assistant U.S. attorney who served on special counsel Bob Mueller's team.

"With 4 pending indictments and an ongoing trial that could cost him hundreds of millions & control of his real estate portfolio, he can’t afford another video deposition," MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin said on X.

"Trump filed this lawsuit to generate press attention, not to pursue a legitimate claim," added former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti. "It’s no surprise that he dismissed it once he got the attention he wanted."
