I think poles in this race are even more skewed because so many people are afraid of bieng deemed racist. What Obama has going against him is he is a relatively new face in a time of uncertainty and Democrats have both houses of goverment.
Traditionally America doesnt like to have a particular party have all branches of goverment.
Am I saying its not possible for Obama to win? not at all. he could easily win, I just dont things the numbers we are seeing are as accurate as most people think.
McCain needs to connect with people and show he cares and has a plan to put things on the right track. He needs to show he will be a different leader than bush and explain his positions.
Something he has thus far proven himself unable to do. Obama on the other hand has shown he's got the right stuff.
Also, Palin needs to man up and do her part by proving that she didnt get to be Governor by accident.
But she didn't get there by accident. The witch hunter from Kenya put her in the governors mansion... remember?
She has leadership skills and valuable leadership assets.
Megalomania is not leadership, and is something to be avoided.
the question is can McCain and Palin pull these things off? From what I am seeing, I just dont know... time will tell.
If
THAT's the question, my handy dandy crystal ball says NO,
...not without a little voter fraud to help them along.
If the question is: Will American's be paralyzed by fear of a young whipper snapper with the funny sounding name and be prompted by the familiarity of the old worn shoe. You know it's worn & ratty, and needs to be replaced, ...but you're afraid new ones might give you callouses, ...then he stands a slight chance.
Personally, I hope not. Cause that would mean all those sarcastic, rude and sardonic comments whispered about Americans would be true. And when that becomes an undeniable and incontrovertable truth for the rest of the world, ...there's going to be a shitstorm in all areas. Who could ever take you seriously?
