I donated $600 to an orphanage in Myanmar.  At least I hope that most of my money winds up there....

I donated money to Warchild and Amnesty International. I'm (quite) nice to people in general, giving a helping hand to whoever needs it, make people smile and women feel more secure about themselves. I helped my mother with painting and a bit of construction work in and around the house.

Nothing special.

But it is!

What have you done lately?

I've been organizing an event taking place at church tomorrow.

I took an elderly neighbor lady friend to the nursing home to visit a friend of hers earlier this week.

I gave someone $5600 to help them get caught up on their mortage and other bills; so they would'nt get evicted and their electricity or water would not get turned off.

It's all stealthy here, unless you're Squad or someone like that.  I also thought that if people read that other people were giving, they might give too.

on an unrelated note, I wonder how much of a donation actually makes it to the people it was solicited for.
