Truth is, most important part of hair is the hairline, all the best haircuts show off the hairline, the worst ones obscure it in general.
When people look at you they subconsciously divide your face in to 3 thirds, chin to bottom of nose, nose to eyebrows, eyebrows to hairline. If you have a receding hairline it throws all your proportions off as your top 3rd is too long to match the other 2 thirds, which should all be equal, and if not just the lower 3rd larger than the rest. Its like bald men who get their scalp tattooed to look like short shaved hair, and give themselves a norwood 1 fake hairline, look so much better than without, it frames their face again.
Wow! I never considered any of this. Dividing face, proportions, hair line... that is pretty deep hair thinking. My hairstyle has pretty much been the same my whole life. It just sits there. I never comb it. In the morning after I take a shower I just towel dry it and fluff it a little like I did in my video. I wish I had a high school pic. This would be from the 70s where long hair was in vogue but my hair didn't really grow long but rather grew out. It just became a shaggier version, kind of a half-ass afro, of what I have now.
The first pic was taken 26 years ago after my shoulder surgery where it was cut short. The other one a bit later with one of my nieces was worn a bit longer. Still the same style.
