Sarah Palin has at least 25 ancestors who served in the American Revolution. Are any of them shared? If so, descendants can join the DAR and other lineage societies.
The following Revolutionary War soldiers are listed in the Patriot Index, published by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Descent from these patriots, whose military or other service in the fight for independence is acknowledged by the DAR, qualifies women for DAR membership. It also can qualify women, men and children for membership in several other lineage societies.
