Sabbath, CoC, Slayer, Pantera, Zep, and a few other rock and rap records got tons of play in the weight room.

Club and top 40 for cardio work.

I mean the industrial electro Prodigy, not the rapper Prodigy although I know who that is. The Prodigy i'm talking about has been out since the late 80's early 90's

nah, rap is pretty much for kids IMO. I cant justify listening to the same shit 16 year old kids are listening to while yelling "thug life!" lol

House and trance are cool. That metal music was cool at one time but it's just so old now

That's the stuff I listened to 28 years ago when I first started working out.

Stuff I listen to for working out now is Five finger Death Punch, In Flames, Black Label Society, Opeth, Asphyx, Soilwok, Hypocrisy, Kamelot, Machine Men, Stratovarius, Gamma Ray, Necrophagist, Evergrey, Daath, Amorphis, Primal Fear, Kataklysm, Nile, Pain, Carcass, Scar Symmetry....blah blah.  Usually something that rocks, or is fairly aggressive; from power metal to death.

When not working out I listen to virtually any form of music.
