back in Arnold's days, having a huge back was not what the focus was all about; but at the same time, no other guys whom he competed with had a better lat spread. it's the period and time that he dominated

Another Arnold groupie. Never had a great back lat spread.

No way he actually meant that. It's probably like his Tiger Woods quip, he only said it to piss people off.

(1) Someone who gets it vs. someone too simplistic to, (2) who distorts what was actually said, getting off on being a hater. What's interesting is just how obsessed he is with what I have to say.  ;D

Support the argument the way that Iron Age shot of Arnold did?  ::)

-Yates had a great back with unusually great density, dryness and detail I've seen only on a few others like Robinson & Columbu. Too bad about most of the rest of him.  ;D

-Coleman's width & taper is unreal.

-Robinson. The only guy I can think of with size who was drier with more density than Yates, in some pics.

-Columbu

Haney didn't look nearly as good from the back: good taper but a little soft & lacking in detail. Maybe there are some better pics somewhere otherwise he has a better taper than Yates but nowhere near the other qualities.

there is a never ending thread about Ronnie and Dorian's back. I could not argue which is better between those two, as each one of em is unique, but at the same time both guys competed against each other at one point. Arnold belonged to the tall class in his time, and the Mofo was huge anyway you looked at him. I still believe he dominated his ERA up until retirement. Maybe, Lee haney took back development a little further, but the real back MADNESS started with the Shadow.

There were several guys from the 70s with great backs including Columbu, Robinson, Oliva and Callender. Haney was no better than them. It was only with Yates and Coleman that there was a difference.

He meant it. Same way he was telling everybody that Flutie was better than Elway and Montana!

Interesting that he knows for sure that i meant it. He also leaves out the huge distortions in his versions, and the fact that he's obsessed on his own misinterpretations for over 4 months now and brings them up on a weekly basis.

How empty is his life that what I say excites him this much? hahahahahahaahahah

I think he should go back to trolling the other board, where he can continue to attack Canadians and other non-Americans who don't share his hillbilly views, while he continues to be married to a Canadian. Truly an anger-filled loser with issues.

Ronnie yes, dorian yes.

Arnold? Hell no!!

Piss off to ironage if you honestly feel that way. There are far superior backs out there.

3rd pick could be anyone between haney, bannout, robby robinson.

I'd probably go with bannout for third.

Then again for all his faults (and trust me he had many) franco columbo had a unique back, lowest lat insertions ever!!

agreed. Arnold top three backs ever? I think not.

Ironagers are retards.

Just look at the dorian vs ronnie thread..

The bottom pic is from the 83 Olympia he's 230lbs obviously not his best . I agree that Callender & Robinson had great backs both were a lot lighter than Haney .
