 yes indeed, it's very intredasting since several knowhow members of this forum were furiously proving me on page 1 that Ivan should pull the weight off the floor or he would never lifted it off, since he's moving the weight off the 3 inch platform or rack or whatever u call it. It's cool either way, competition is a good thing.  I've always liked powerlifting, if he beats the record i will be impressed.

 Im guessing the man has maxxed everything out just to pull 490kg so how is he going to pull 12kg more? I am not a powerlifter but from what i believe to be true at worldclass poundage its super tough to add any amount more on the bar.

Remember, th th th th th th THor’s best filmed pre-world record lift was 470kg and he did 501 kg just a few weeks later. This should be really encouraging for Ivan as he enters the finals stages of his training sessions.

It probably was hard on him. A couple of years ago I lost sight on my left eye after a max single. It was only gone for less than a minute but long enough to start panicking a bit.
Eddie said he was kinda delirious and out of it for a couple of weeks. Couldn't even drive a car because he forgot how etc 

Makarov could beat the record, it's possible, it all depends on if he can stay alive and healthy enough.
