I'd stand beside a man like tbombz any day actually.  The man is full of God's grace and some on this board want to trample him underfoot because he loves the Lord now....because his heart has been changed.

He unbashedly represents Jesus Christ and has experienced more personal hell in the last few years that many on this board will ever know.  

The population of heaven is filled with the redeemed and tbombz has joined its ranks because he's given himself to Christ, been forgiven of his sin and is sanctified and changed for God's will and purposes now.

can you explain to me how one's heart is able to think ? or how it can be "changed" ? thoughts based in the brain can be changed but why talk about changing the "heart" then. Maybe at the time people thought the heart was where they thoughts were stocked.

The heart is simply a metaphor for your soul.....we use a tangible concept to help us discern a more intangible one and better make a distinction between mind and emotion and living for this world or living for Christ.

The Lord took every bit of my fear and guilt.  My desire is to love others (including you) and share Christ with them.   I've never forcefully pushed anyone to Christ.

well mankind adorated differents gods, then one god, and judaism/christianism , paganism and roman/greek thinkers gave birth to our modern societies, our current systems of beliefs are a mix of everything that has been thought and felt in the past. Science also changed the way we view things and ourselves. It sure is better to be nice and take care of your family and offspring in the interest of everyone in society -even if it s a beta behavior- than wanting to dominate everyone everytime. You cant always win. Hapiness is probably a balance between dominating here and there and being benevolent and humble at the same time.

Belief in Christ is actually quite the opposite.  Belief in Christ is about redemption from our sin...it's about salvation by grace through faith in Christ.  It's about a believer acknowledging the sin in their life and having a change of mind about continuining on in that sin....it's about surrendering to God's will and purposes for our lives and forgoing of ourselves.

Believers in Christ are deemed righteous before God and saved from his divine judgement not lead to it.   The term "reward" is purely subjective.  My desire....my reward is to be aligned with Christ because he took my sin and cleansed me and freed me and made me whole.  I choose Christ because he chose me first....he's revealed himself to me in my life....my faith is rock solid because I absolutely know his reality.   If I can help lead others to Christ and share his love with them then I will gladly do that.

It's a canned, generalized comeback that contains neither depth nor truth.  It's a 5th grade comeback when the gas tank is empty and all that's left is calling someone "poopoo head".

The word of God is like a hammer of truth for the unbelieving world....it stands in direct opposition to the enemies of God and angers them desperately because it reveals the contents of their souls.....just like it did me once.  To this day it continues to hold me accountable and reestablishes me on firm footing when I get out of hand.
