That's 25 bodybuilders that are now living with Palumboism and may suffer from Palumboism-related complications.
Palumboism awareness comprises four specific focal points: education, testing, involvement, and treatment. Educationally, the focus is to get bodybuilders educated about the basics of Palumboism. Testing is at the core of this initiative, as it is hoped that bodybuilders will mark 16 June of every year as their annual or biannual day to get tested for Palumboism. This is vital for those who taking boatloads of HGH and Insulin. When it comes to community and organization leadership, getting bodybuilders involved to serve is another key focus."
*The day in 2004 that Palumbo got busted for selling fake HGH to his fellow bodybuilders.
1. We could return each year to spread awareness and highlight recent cases of Palumbosim.
2. We could come up with our own symbol, like the breast cancer ribbon.
3. We could help spread awareness through online activism and maybe even sending pamplets to real bodybuilders.
4. I'm also thinking of setting up a little website for the "organization" that promotes National Palumboism Awareness Day, complete with all the info anyone could want, including the "What is Palumboism" post from a few years ago (one of the funniest things I've ever read on the internet).

I am bumping this post because National Palumboism Awareness Day is quickly approaching. As you'll recall, the day is held on June 16, the day Palumbo was busted for selling bunk GH. Thus, it is appropriate since the man has contributed so much to our awareness of this unfortunate condition.
To help spread awareness, I suggest we collect pics of Palumboism victims here, discuss strategies for combating the disease, and otherwise voice our support for Palumboism Awareness.

When are guys going to learn that using steroids that contribute to high blood pressure can damage your kidneys. When are guys going to learn that injecting oil in muscles will get into the blood stream and is filtered out by the kidneys. The kidneys are going to get clogged and damaged from oil that it is trying to remove from the blood. Even a food based oil has to be orally ingested and processed by the digestive system. It is not safe to inject in the body with a syringe.

Much research needs to be done on whether Palumboism is permanent or not. In some cases, it seems as if the effects gradually where off once the extreme "supplement" use recedes, whereas in others, it only gets worse once competition ceases.
