That is utter horseshit. While the nominal rates were higher - nobody paid that.

HOWEVER - we as americans are now taxed to death on real estate, sales, transaction, income, capitals gains, surcharges, energy , and a whole host of other assorted taxes.

Right on the mark with a lot of other things though - just because 1 or 2 or his predictions were wrong does not invalidate everything he said.
