LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Less than a minute into his presidency, Barack Obama committed his first gaffe.
The new president of the United States said in his inaugural address that "Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath."
That's wrong. Forty-three Americans, including Obama, have taken the oath of office.
what a fucking clown

couldn't he have been including himself?

Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president.
Yes, and Onlyme once attended a ball where he shared a dinner table with said president, Raquel Welch, Alan Greenspan and William Randolph Hearst, to whom he gave advice on how to properly use a Gillette blade.

Afterwards Keith, Webster, Mr. Belvedere, and Alf took a hot air balloon ride to Paris for lunch on the Eiffel Tower.

if he was already inaugerated then he is correct.
44 men have taken the oath if he is the 44th president

technically 43. As Mass04 has pointed out, "Grover Cleveland was the 22nd and 24th president."
They just count Cleveland as two seperate people.

Barack Obama has Dwight Eisenhower (the 34th President of the USA) to thank for being President today.
It was Eisenhower who signed the document which allowed Hawaii to become an official State, no longer rendoring it a "territory". This was two years before Obama was born, so if it had remained so, then Obama would have been born in a territory and thus ineligible to ever become President.

If you don't stand for something, you'll die for nothing.
