Title: ... And Modern Bodybuilding was born.
Post by: Alex23 on May 15, 2008, 07:42:57 PM
The King Himself. If I remember correctly this is a 1972 shot in the Santa Monica Mountains. When it hit the magazines, it was revolutionary. I still think it's near perfection and never been matched since.

We need an Arnold board  ;D

ronnie was incredible but the whole bulging gh/slin gut thing just ruins a physique in my mind

only a genetic wonder like ronnie could build enough muscle to hide his huge gut----guys like DJ only look good in tank tops or posing with his hands in front of his stomach

You really aren't terribly bright, are you?
Does it hurt?  Being so utterly lacking in anything resembling intellect, I mean.  I imagine it would be quite painful. :-\

I'm going to retract (at least partially) this statement based on his responses in the Palumbo diet thread. 8)

I still think his head is up his butt with regard to physique assessement, however! ;D

WHAT made arnold build unique was that chest and having a flat stomach and large ribcage helped,having sloped shoulders made it look moreso larger,his delts werent bad just not full and rounded as todays pro's,in clothes his shoulders didnt stand out or look particulary impressive as his chest and bis which still looked packed in clothes.still one of the best and true pioneer to this day.

As good as Arnold did look, I'm still way more impressed by Oliva. The guy's the real deal. Aesthetic and freaky in a way also. Much more balanced than Arnold.

How about picking up a gun and shooting yourself.  that would actually be the only thing you will ever do worthwhile.  Till then you are just a pale white skinny kid with a big mouth.  Even you can't deny that.

Arnold = Best Ever

So ahead of his time that he could retire for 5 years, go back into training for only 8 weeks and win the Olympia. He could of won 10 Olympias if he truly wanted too.
