From what I've heard this kid thought that he was torching a car for insurance reasons and he had no idea that there was a body in the trunk. This seems logical since he didn't even bother to hide it very well. Usually when you want to collect insurance on your car you would eventually want it to be found. This kid set the car on fire not far from the road knowing that it would be found but also knowing that it would be too late to salvage it, therefore insuring that Kelly could collect the insurance money.

My guess that he will walk off scott free.
Kelly will rat out Craig and get a reduced sentence.
Craig will serve 20 years and get time off for good behavior.
There will be a lot of legal mumbo jumbo on the defense side to place some of the blame on the victim.
How long does it generally take to get a case like this to trial?

trial delays depend on how good your defense can cause delays

He will plead to something-no way he is walking with out a plea to some sort of crime.
Time line depends on if they plead or go to teial. Either way it should be at least 1 year.

I don't know what a " teial " is, but there are many variables is such cases . . . Not the least of which is case/trial backlog.
I don't know if I'd take Ron's advice/insights very seriously, with respect to legal matters ::)
