nasser was great in 97, but yates had him beat in many of the poses - except fdb and maybe abs and thighs.
the 97 contest was my first on video and its very apparent that yates wins - especially from the front and the back.
yates presentation was better.
nasser had a red tinge to him at the night show. wierd.

Wrong. They each looked better in certain mandatories. Nasser clearly has the ab-thigh and side triceps, as well as the front double bi's, rear lat spread. It could have gone either way, but I think Nasser edged him out.
Notice even in low res you can see Ronnie's gyno popping out in the ab-thigh shot :o I'm downloading the 98 Olympia right now so will be able to give better resolution screencaps later that will prove that the show was very close between the two, and that Nasser looked better Ronnie in many poses.

Nasser does structually have a better ab-thigh , side triceps but again that's a SMALL part of the equation overall considering all rounds are physique rounds , Ronnie clearly beats him

Nasser's condition was not close to Ronnie's at all in 1998. Nasser was more aesthetically pleasing from the front, but that was it. He should have beaten Flex though, I will concede that.

i have all the videos of yates olympias except 1996.. i watched all of them many times.. in 93 and 95 he ws the clear winner.. in 92 also he ws the best but still not in a dominating way.. in 94 i believe it ws close between him and levrone (not shawn ray)... but in 1997 he really looked weak.. he ws big but weak!! his abs ws bloated all the time and his arms (even the right arm) looked very small and not full.. small guys like shawn ray and priest had bigger arms than him on tht day!!.. even his back ws not in his normal good condition.. not only nasser but also the other top guys were better than him..

I don't discredit Nasser , I give him credit he was a outstanding bodybuilder FROM THE FRONT he could run with anyone, from the sides he was good from the back he was pathetic . he was hugely popular because he appealed to the base of what fans admire the most SIZE , from what I gather he was a nice guy ( although his backstabbing as of late proves he wasn't sincere after all )
bottom line contests are NOT judged by fans , most of which are like you ignorant and or willing to ignore glaring flaws that judges wouldn't , base everything on popularity , ignorance and bias in the end history proves you wrong

He is the best that bodybuilding "ever got" from the front. This has been said by both GH15 and Doggcrapp both of whom are much better expert than you. Nasser was not "pathetic" from the back. In his peak he held his own quite comfortably.

Sure, they may have been a bit bigger (not much) but at the expense of aesthetics. Nasser had both. No mass monster has ever looked like that with the PERFECT SYMMETRY, tight waist, amazing abdominals etc..
He should have been dominating the sport but they lacked the courage, or power, to end Yates' reign so he stole Olympias. After the Dorian years Weiders would not allow another non-American to have his reign.
So, yes, Nasser had an amazing career but given that he was the best ever, he was robbed and actually, cheated.

I said Nasser looks better in the above mentioned poses and I didn't include the frontlatspread , you've didn't put anyone in a ' bad situation ' Dorian even at his worse still has a better front latspread than Nasser absolutely
Nasser can't even do this pose correctly ( along with the side chest ) Dorian has a better frontlatspread , he has clearly better lats , wider , more sweep and he's just as big and better conditioned

Sharma and co keep saying Nasser would have won if he was an American or a White guy, but in reality, they are the ones who would be supporting guys like Dorian and Ronnie if they weren't Muslims / Arabs. Their whole patronizing of Nasser is based on nothing but religious and ethnocentric grounds.
And let's not forget that even if Dorian did win the 97 Mr O due to bias (which he didn't), that doesn't explain the fact that Nasser got his ass handed to him by K Lo and Ronnie in all of the 97 Grand Prix contests, each held in a different country and judged by a different judging panel. he is getting killed from every angle, yes ronnie had gyno, but it is only evident in the front double bi shot.
Meanwhile nasser's arms are full of oil and it looks like he forgot to train his back leading up to that years O.
In my opinion flex looked great that year and it was extreamely close between him and ronnie, i would have given it to flex but thats a different thread.
Nasser got a VERY VERY distant third and he was lucky to get that..

Wrong. They each looked better in certain mandatories. Nasser clearly has the ab-thigh and side triceps, as well as the front double bi's, rear lat spread. It could have gone either way, but I think Nasser edged him out.
Notice even in low res you can see Ronnie's gyno popping out in the ab-thigh shot :o I'm downloading the 98 Olympia right now so will be able to give better resolution screencaps later that will prove that the show was very close between the two, and that Nasser looked better Ronnie in many poses.

He is the best that bodybuilding "ever got" from the front. This has been said by both GH15 and Doggcrapp both of whom are much better expert than you. Nasser was not "pathetic" from the back. In his peak he held his own quite comfortably.
