Caffeine and Drowsiness

Have not looked into it, but what is the exact medical reason that sometimes drinking coffee or taking caffeine puts you to sleep  and other times acts as a stimulant?

I've never looked why, but I do know that even when I'm tired and use ephedra and/or caffeine, I still feel drowsy and not like I'm refreshed from a full night of sleep. I'll be able to do what I can, but I still feel fatigued.
Perhaps do a google search...I would be interested what you find. :)

So far what I found is that the reason is dehydration. Still researching.
